Hello fellow boxers, i played 3x Mages in TBC, 4x Shamans in Wotlk and are now thinking about starting to box again in Cata. I Will prob go with my 4 shamans since those are the viable characters for me atm.

My mainfocus is PvP, but like to try Hcs etc with a tank.

Is 4-shamans comp still an ok chooise for this expansion and what do you guys to do make the game still fun when boxing?

Yes

And the same i did in vanilla, tbc and wotlk. PVP mainly. Cata is just the same as before but now on azeroth instead of a new continent.

Depends on how much you like Cataclysm...
Personally I may start again after the next gear set comes out but I barely like single boxing now so...

PvP is decent though...very decent.

Yeah, PvP is what is keeping me boxing.

I run a Shaman/Pally PvE team for instances, still fun but shaman PvP is still very enjoyable

Welcome back on board, if we convince you :P

Hey dude,

Its fun to multibox now i think. Though i dropped my elemental shamans and leveled a pair of Frost Death Knights. I'm having so much fun with them. Its a real new experience to multibox melee. They are doing great in arena and frost is gonna be buffed more in the new patch.

Leveling Death Knights is kinda boring because you already did the zones a couple of times. Though its nice to learn your class that way.

You can maybe play a healer (paladin prefered) to do 5on5 alone, and heal your characters. I'm currently running 4 characters with a random healer from my guild for 5's.

The downside is that waiting for BGs to pop sucks. Because of my night shifts, the times that i play on is most of the time waiting. I think WoW is waiting too much on queue's and things to pop before you can get to the action.

You could try to multibox or solo play the new MMORPG Rift. It's something new to put your hands on and also non-stop action.

The choise is yours =]

If you're alliance, or willing to go alliance...
BG's are up to 2 minutes, but the average is 30 seconds of queue time.

They've merged the battlegroups (still have US-only and EU-only), for all purposes except Arena.
So, any US Horde server has the same queue times as any other.
Ditto for US Alliance vs US Alliance, or EU Alliance vs EU Alliance and EU Horde vs EU Horde.

Some people like the Priest for the 4x DK composition.
The gearing up process is a lot more painful, without bubble for a bit of survivability and the threat of bubble for a bit of space occasionally.
But priests (holy) can heal quite a while after they're dead.
And Mass Dispel can get rid of almost any You-Cannot-Kill-Me effect, on your initial kill target.

The combo of Click to Move + Interact With Target, open the door for any melee composition.
Druids were sick, but the removal of Berserk (Fear Immunity) and Power Shifting (Root break for a GCD) killed that composition, imo.
Still, for PvE... Feral rocks, and any melee you want to try is very viable.

If you're doing Alchemy Transmutes for gold.
The money is in Transmute Elements (Volatile Life > Volatile Air).
Do the transmute in Uldum (the zone, near Tanaris), using Vortex of Air summoning stone.
My six teams of transmuters average 12k a day (one team does Truegold, 5 teams do Volatiles).
