Hallo all.
I have been follow this forum for some time now and now i need some help/idears too improve my healing in instance.
I run a 5 box, a paladin, 3x mage and a priest. atm im lvl 60-61 working on the quests in Hellfire Penninsula so i can gear up for Outland instances.
On my Main computer i run pala tank and 3 mages as dps. Setup whit Keyclone and everything is working very nice
On my 2. computer I run the priest. Atm I use a 2. keyboard and have made a lot of macros. But its not very dynamic. My main problem is to keep the mages/priest alive when my tank lose aggro.
If this is allready covered in another tread please drop me a link.

Gande, You must have been playing for a while to get to 60-61 (I am 5x59) but I really think you need to shift your playstyle. Instead of running your healer solo, you should be running your Tank solo - if you don't lose aggro you won't have issues with healing in the first place. Once you focus on making sure nothing can get peeled off of your Main ... you'll be set.
I run a Pally, 2xMage, Warlock, Priest team. I love the warlock and really wouldn't change them for a mage (though I have a 70 mage waiting on the account that has the warlock, so I certainly could if I wanted to). My warlock always has less damage, but they come close with their pet added in (which should be considered) - but most importantly they add a second tank and can CC Humanoid AND Elementals. I can't tell you how many fights I have loved having that extra utility that the lock brings to the party. (As an example, on the Shade of Eranikus fight, where I know the tank is banished ... I simply had the VW tank the first part. Eranikus Banished the VoidWalker, and my Pally just taunted him off and my DPS didn't even slow down).
My healing macros were pretty easy. F1-F5 heals my party from my priest. If I press just the key it casts a Flash Heal, if I hold Shift it does Renew and if I hold Ctrl it does a PW: Shield. BEWARE OF ALT. Alt-F4 will make you have a very bad day. F1-F4 heal each toon as they appear on my screen of my Paladin Tank (the one I am looking at) so I don't have to keep track of anything - and F5 heals my tank. As a note, I also have F6 mapped to healing the warlock's pet - but that shouldn't concern you.
Good luck!

This is wishful thinking. Things WILL get peeled off the tank. I have encountered various mobs that do knockbacks and drop aggro and paladins have a much longer cooldown on Righteous Defense than warriors have on Taunt. The destroyers in Ramps and the Felguards near the end of BF are examples. A 1.5s Flash Heal probably won't save a mage unless they are at full health with their shields up.
Personally I would go with 4 buttons with PW: Shield, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, etc castsequence macros for each party member oher than the tank. A reset equal to the Shield cooldown. This way you don't have to worry about ctrl, alt or shift. Although, just casting Flash Heal with a modifier (without PWS) is an option for healing between fights or when the character doesn't have aggro anymore.

Well something ive been thinking about trying but not actually tried yet is as follows.
Since your healer is on your 2nd computer you could set up the 2nd computer to share mouse movements/clicks to mimic your first one, set both mouses to the same sensitivity and also same screen resolutions (Not 100% sure resulution is required, as long as you scale the mouse sensitivity it shoulndt be).
Then install a click casting mod such as Healbot or even Clique on both computers, however only set up the actual heals on the healing computer (e.g on the main computer have healbot set to do nothing on any clicks, then on the heal computer have left click cast a flash heal, right click pws, shift right click greater heal whatever). You should be able to click /rightclick/shiftrightclick on your main screen and have the 2nd computer be doing the same click on that mod for whoever you are trying to heal.

Thank you for the good idears this give me something too work whit.
Yeah "The destroyers in Ramps" was a pain too tank for a palatank, so now i just sheep and nuke them down. but i still need too get the healing fixed on the mages/priest soo i can do some real tryes on the last boss in ramps.

I didn't heal my group during that fight. Too much going on and my pally was having problems keeping aggro off the priest already. See my post in the MMORPG forums for my strat. It was a little clumsy but he went down. The fireballs come too quickly to move the character out of the flames and heal and still keep an eye on the tank as well. Maybe a flash heal tied to the key you use to move the character out of the flames.

How do you set up your healing where you just have to push (Shift F1) or (Alt F1) to heal your different toons? I have seen it mentioned a couple of times in the forums but still have not figured it out yet.

/cast [modifier:shift, target=char1] Flash Heal; [modifier:ctrl, target=char1] Renew; [target=char1] Power Word: Shield
Replace "char1" with a character name and bind this macro to F1 for instance. Make sure SHIFT+F1 and CTRL+F1 is unbound. Pressing F1 will shield the character, pressing SHIFT+F1 will cast Flash Heal and CTRL+F1 will cast Power Word: Shield.

First let me say thank you for attempting to help me.
Second let me say I may be to much of a noob to undertsand your answer. :)
Is this done using a certain UI, I mean because I dont use any add on's. I know how to create a few basic Macro for example /target main cha and /assit main char.. but I feel that I am limited to just putting the macros on my action bar . Am I thinking correctly?
And honestly I never really messed with the key bindings.
Thank you Again for your assistance.

Yep, you need to create the macro first of all and then you can drag the macro to one of your action bars. After that you need to do a key binding. If you hit ESCAPE and select Key Bindings you will get a list of all the available actions and the keys bound to them.
So if you drag the macro into the 1st slot of your bottom right action bar then go into key bindings and look for "Bottom Right Action Bar" you should find it in there somewhere, all 12 of them. Click on the 1st key box next to it and press F1 which should bind the F1 key to that action bar slot.
(You might also want to bind SHIFT-F1 and then clear it, and bind CTRL-F1 and clear it just to make sure they are unbound)
NOTE: You will not be able to target group members anymore by pressing F1-F5 if you bind it to action bar slots.

Thinus You Rock !!!!
I have been playing this game for over 2 years now and never knew a thing about keybindings. Thank you so much for helping me. This is going to totally free up my action bar.
But eventually I am going to run out of macros. Any ideas on how to solve that one ?
Thank you again for you help,

Thank you very much
You have 18/18 macro slots. At the top of your macro window is a tab for "character specific macros" which gives you another 18.
