ICC - 10 Man Valithria

I'm working on the last of the raids with a 10 man team. Started ICC last night and was able to take out Marrowgar, Lady Deathwhisper, Gunship Battle, Festergut, Rotface, Lana'Thel, Saurfang and Princes without too much trouble.

Tried Valithria a few times, but not sure how to tackle this. I had a friend come in and play a healer to do the portals, but I need a few healers, a few dps and another healer on the outside at all times.

The fight isn't hard or overwhelming, just too many things you need to take care of to heal her up to full. I tried all out healing with 6 characters (that did not take portals), but it wasn't enough. If I could get all 6 (or even 3 or so) in and out of the portals each time I think it would be doable. Just not easy to manually control 3 healers, take the portals each time, fly around and get the orbs while tanking and killing the adds and the mobs that heal Valithria. Not to mention getting the portals each time so you can stack the healing buff before it wears off.

Not sure if anyone has cleared ICC 10 man solo or duo, but I'm looking for suggestions to see if something comes up that might work. It doesn't matter if you cleared it or not, throw out some ideas and let's see if we can get something that might work.

I could bring in a couple more people, but at that point I'm not really boxing it anymore. Once you get three or more players in these things it loses the feel of boxing it.

Though I did the first four bosses of ICC 40+ times, I never was ambitious enough to try Val solo. Partly because I thought it would be tough, mostly because her loot table sucked and I was looking for upgrades on my team. (Of course, all this was when the content was new, and mostly before the +DPS/health/healing buff).

Anyway, none of that is helpful to you, but I definitely know what you are going through as you try to figure out hard bosses. Nice work so far and good luck!

1 holy paladin could solo heal valithria if you stacked the buff high enough. I'm sure other healers can too at 85.

I'll take the words of encouragemnet. Motivation is a big factor when trying to get something completed.

After doing some searches on the fight I have a couple of ideas on how to do this. I'll try them out a little later after work and post the results here.

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem isn't so much who can heal and how to heal her. It's an easy fight with three or more people. The problem is trying to solo it.

I have a few ideas I am going to try later today. We'll see how it goes.
