View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Window swap issue - isboxer38

Since upgrading to isboxer 38 and the latest innerspace release, my window layouts are screwed up. Once you click to a slave's window to make it the primary, the master's window disappears but actually remains the unswapped size underneath the now active slave window.

Anyone else having this issue?

Do i need to remake my groups with the wizard? I've got six or seven groups, all mixed class, so that would really suck.

How do I fix this without starting over?

Same for me.

After running the wizard a few times, I think I have it working again

I don't have that issue, so not sure on that.

I'm running eight character sets, most of them just for transmutes.
All on one monitor.
The active slot does not have its own inactive slot (it trades with one of the slaves).

I'd post your config, or the pastebin link for it anyway.
Pretty sure Lax would need that to figure it out, if some have an issue and others do not.

I do not use an empty region for swaps. They trade spots. I wonder if that is somehow the issue. Always worked before the update.

I don't use an empty region either, and don't have this issue.
So that cannot be it.

I'd post your config, the isboxer IRC is active at the moment.
Lots of people talking, good chance someone would be able to help.

I believe this issue is now fixed for future ISBoxer 38 downloads.

If you are experiencing this issue, try this:
1. Select your Character Set in the top pane
2. In the bottom right pane, check "Prevent game from repositioning windows" (it's the first check-box, right under the launch delay)
3. File, Export

I downloaded the latest version of ISBoxer 38 (2:40 am central, feb 16), and had this issue. Your suggestion fixed it. Thank you!

I had this issue as well, some browsing of the window layout options showed that it didn't default to region swapping when mouse swapping and such. I just had to click a couple options and BOOM all better! :)

the only problem i've got now is(and i've not checked into fixing it myself yet) that when you window swap your mouse used to follow the new screen , which made it pretty awesome to use dual screens for. Now when i mouse over to my left monitor and mouse swap to an alts screen, the mouse doesnt come back over to the main monitor with it... is this intended lax?

It wasn't an intended feature to be honest, and it only worked in certain cases. I might be able to make it an option, sure. I'll see what I can do

For some reason I no longer have the screen swap issue (auto update?) unless i alt-tab out to a web browser for more than a few seconds. Then i have to cycle through all the wows again to get them to show up properly. Otherwise, its working fine again. I also wish the mouse would go to the new screen. I used to click items on the ground you cant use iwt for and when the new window cane up, the mouse would be where i had expected it to be. Now it stays on the previously focused window.
