Onyxia Melee Fail

I tried Onyxia with my 4DK + Priest today. Bliz has it setup so you cannot melee her in phase two. The most I could do is get off a few ranged attacks that were not enough to bring her down to 40% health. This really sucks because I wanted to farm it for bags and the mount.

Phase 2 just use outbreak every minute and if your dps is frost specced keep spamming Howling Blast between whelp waves. It wont be a record breaking kill but its not all that bad waiting for diseases to bring her low enough for P3.

I have been hoping for the onyxian mount. Its too bad the bags are unique as i have one on everyone now.

what was killing you? are you managing to avoid the breaths, and kill the adds?

Yeah, how are you getting killed? I was downing her with Pally Tank, Enh Shaman, Ret Paladin, Resto Shaman and Unholy DK. In P2, pretty much my only DPS on her was DK diseases. All my other toons were basically worthless against her in the air. 4xDK shouldn't have nearly as hard a time.

Well eventually I just run out of mana healing my guys trying to get her to come down.

Can't say I have that problem with my team. Healing is pretty minimal unless whelps are getting to my slaves.

How much spirit do you have on your priest? Reforge it up to >2k if possible and you shouldn't have mana problems IMO.

Priest is not PVE Geared. He only has 1070 spirit.

I thought this was funny. Pinot, Kicksome, and I took down Argaloth this weekend with Pinot healing on his priest and me healing on one of mine. I knew his priest was only PvP geared.

I asked him how much mana his priest had. I was surprised when he said he had about 2K more than mine.

Then I asked about his spirit. His had 1070. Mine had 2140. I LOLed.

But no matter - Argaloth still went down :)

In fact, between Pinot, Kicksome, and I, we're getting him down four times a week now. I'm just wondering why 16 out of 18 drops have been PvP so far :mad:

Priest is not PVE Geared. He only has 1070 spirit.

My priest is PvP geared and I swap out PvP trinks for the exalted TB one and a 215spi blue trink I got questing and I get 2k spi. All other slots have resil. I hate having to drink :P
