Hi all,

I'm posting here as A) a lot of you use Logitech products such as the g15 and g500 and B) their support sucks and this community has proven its extremely knowledgeable.

Over the past 6-8 months (since my last os reinstall) i've had an odd issue with my keyboard and mouse. Occasionally i lose the ability to alt-tab, use the windows key or the function keys. I also can't use my mouse to right click on programs to close them, switch to those programs etc. This can occur just after boot up with nothing running accept maybe outlook, chrome or Mirc or it can happen after 8 hours of strenuous use. I have gone the past month without it happening and then happened two days in a row. The only way to close down programs is to use task manager and the only way to use my keyboard and mouse normally is to restart. I am running vista 64 and have updated everything, done every scan etc. It could be a driver issue, however, i'm sure I've updated at least twice in this time.

I originally noticed this while trying to pip switch to log characters in but just today noticed that i couldn't alt tab between the main outlook window, composing an email and chrome; therefore ruling out a problem caused by my multi-boxing.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Keep in mind any solution may go unnoticed for weeks as this is extremely random.

Cheers in advance!

The only issues I have had is that the LCD manager would quit for no apparent reason needing a restart of the software. (g15 V.1 the 18 key version)

Have you looked at updating the motherboard USB chipset drivers to the latest version, as it sounds like these are probably the issue of the basic functions not working

Thanks for the reply, I checked the mobo website to find the chipset drivers were 10 months old so I checked Intel directly and they were 2 months old :) Hopefully that helps.

cheers.

I don't know why but my mouse is set to alt shift esc for "next application". I thought it was alt tab also untill i looked.

You can also try and google "uber options logitech" that guy is one person at logitech that knows his stuff even though he dosn't work for them.

Sometimes the keyboard keys just stick try hitting ctrl, alt, esc and shift hard a few times just in case.
