View Full Version : Miners Wanted!

So here is the deal. I'm starting to do a lot more industrial stuff and I'm running short on minerals. I figured I'd make arrangements to buy minerals from YOU! Thats right, no more hoping there is a decent price or waiting to sell your minerals for what they are really worth. I'll give you a fair price since I'd rather help fellow boxers than screw everyone else ;)

This is just the first iteration on an idea, so if you would like to be more involved in industry or had something else in mind, just reply and we can figure it out.

You can stay in your own corp, I'd buy all the minerals via contract at a system not too far away from where I live. I'm currently three jumps from Jita in a 0.6 system with 22 belts. It's not too busy, and when I was out mining I never saw another person. While I'd prefer to pick up minerals in this system, I have a freighter and would be willing to make pickups (for a small fee ;) ) if all the minerals are in just a single system. But this can all be figured out.

I need your minerals!

P.S. I can make Orcas from minerals ;)

What minerals you after? I just started level 2s and basically, my MO has been do missions until one pops with a bunch of rocks in it, then I drag the team over and gather. Mostly what I end up with is Tritanium, Pyrite and a bit of mexallon after processing, with the rare higher-level minerals from salvage mostly. I only have a Badger2 at the moment, so running things to another system might be painful. ;)

Honestly, I need Trit the most; but I'll buy anything. And if you can get it all in one system, I can come get it, I just don't want to have to dock at 6 or 7 stations in a system. Freighters are the slows ships in the game, I wanna set a course, dock once, and then come home ;)

Now you can send me contracts of any amount and I'll accept them, I might not pick them up for a week, but you'd already be paid. Just keep putting them in the same station.

Also depends on how far from Jita you are. I'm only 3 jumps from Jita, so it makes a good landmark.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty neat about my mining ops. I tend to not mine until I have a big patch to do, and then stack it all up at the best station in the sector for mass refining. If your refining skills are better than mine (wouldn't take much lol) then I can just leave it in raw veldspar/etc. form and let you refine it. Just lemme know who to send in-game mails to and we can discuss logistics in a more secure format. ;)

Funny enough I was actually getting ready to renew my 3 accounts today, I have two hulks and a pilot that has the skills for an orca, just waiting for another 100mil isk to buy it. I have two ravens I was thinking about starting to run missions in, but I would rather mine for a bit while getting back into the game. I stay pretty close to Jita as well, so just let me know what system you want the minerals in. I wouldn't mind mining in .6 or even joining a corp, I honestly don't even know if I'm in one at the moment. Just send me a message or whatever and let me know.

Would be interested in this too, but i'm not ready to start mining properly for another month or so. At which point i'll be able to field 7 Hulks and an Orca, funds permitting :)

Well, after today's mining session, I'm thinking I may have to do less of that. Spent 5 hours at a mission pocket mining and only ended up with about 15 million worth of minerals and a splitting headache. Ospreys can do the job but having to micromanage every. single. cycle. is like a root canal. Here's hoping it gets better when they finish training retrievers in a couple weeks.

Barges are a huge quality of life increase Ugh.. which is what makes the yield increasing mind link kind of disappointing (cause it shortens your cycle).

Hold on!

What kind of price you thinking for trit Souca? I just sold like 70m trit but didnt get a great price cause I didnt feel like moving it...

I'm paying about 2.62 for Trit right now, but I'm flexible if you have a metric shit ton or something. I try to keep on top of the prices in the system I live in, but I can adjust as long as you aren't expecting premium Jita prices. Really like anything that fills my freighter, i.e. 80M or so.

I plan on putting together a price sheet this weekend so people can tell me if I'm being reasonable or just smoking crack. I'd rather pay a little extra for a steady supply that undercut the market orders from other systems.

I can sell you 50+ mill units of trit - you want delivered or you gonna shift it from Tash Murkon yourself?

Redbeard - it's well worth investing in a freighter, last month I made an extra 20% (ish) selling ore by moving it from my home constellation to a trade hub only 5 jumps away, this month I'll check prices in Amarr and Tash Murkon and sell in the most profitable.

What bugs me most is that it's almost impossible to find a tech 1 product that's worth manufacturing, pretty much every item is sold at below build cost. That or I'm lousy at choosing what to make.

It that you are looking at the wrong things and also before you research the BP. It's not easy, but it can be done. Learn to love spreadsheets. I'll tell you my latest ideas next time we're both online.

Now Tech 2 is the evil one. Unless you have moons, you can't even touch the prices.

Yes, I'll buy the trit. How many jumps is it from Poinen?

Im with you Robin... I sold my stuff for 2.1 per trit, so just going by the number Souca threw out you can see what a hit I took.

Add it to the list of ships I should buy =P

It is possible I'm just crazy and am paying way too much for minerals, but you guys might as well enjoy it while I have the isk ;)

Besides, I'll go up to 10 jumps to pick up if it's more than 50m of minerals.

Hehe. weep at my 864,000 m3 cargo hold.

It's well worth investing in a freighter if you're doing industrial stuff. Even if you were only making 50m a trip by buying low/selling high on ore it would only take 10-12 trips to pay for itself.

Edit: just doing a price check on trit in Tash-Murkon and noticed the price has crept up 0.5 ISK in the last two weeks, there's people buying at 3 ISK!

I have a Jump Freighter, so there! Plus the two other non jumping variety.

The mineral prices might go up if that Hulk griefing thing actually happens, though with Eve, you never know.

P.S. Providence for sale in 8 days. Inquire for other models.

Hulkageddon, if previous events show anything, will NOT affect the price of minerals. People have millions, upon billions of inventory. In order for those prices to go up the inventories need to go down. A 7 day event isn't going to affect anything but the price of Barges.

I still think Hulkageddon is a conspiracy organized by Hulk BPO owners :P

There's no doubt about that. Oterwise other similar 'events' would also happen. Where's the 'Ratstompageddon' to go after 24/7 ratters in 0.0?

Hulkageddon is the perfect example of EVE players in action.

That happens every day. Ratters in 0.0 have to have cloaks and be ready to warp out the minute anyone they don't recognize enters local.
