As far as I know you are allowed to pay for your accounts through in game currency by buying time cards with your isk.

Thats what I do, you can semi-AFK mine fairly effectively while doing other stuff when working from home - I just have my hulks setup for maximum cargo.

But destroyer mining is very sad indeed - especially as you could have mounted 3-4 lasers

I'm up to heavily modified Osprey cruisers now. Much better. :)

Destroyers would be ghood for mining but they don't have enough CPU to mount more than 3-4 lasers and a mining laser uses a lot of cpu...
