Hey,

Any input on what's a relatively straightforward cata heroic to 5-box to farm orbs ?
Also, I like the 15 rep per trash (still grinding reps with faction for gear) so what's a good dungeon to grind trash in ?

My team: prot pally, disc priest, moonkin, arcane mage, ele shammy

Thanks

Short question, short answer.

I'd say Vortex is probably one of the easiest.

looks like only moonkin(root) and shammy(elemental bind/hex) for CC. You might have trouble with the double healer trash pull unless you focus one character one each for interrupts. I hate those healers.

He'll have mage sheep as well, so it should be very doable when he gets to the humanoids. The elementals will be tougher, but between Bind Elemental and Entangling Roots he should be OK.

Another one that is pretty easy is Blackrock Caverns. For boss 1, be sure and use your mage's AOE freeze right before you run from the Chains and you'll be golden. Skip boss 2, 3 is skipable if you can't time dragging him through the floor beam, and the last boss drops a fabulous caster trinket if you can slow or freeze the adds enough times to get them off your tank and heal him up a few times during the fight (mage AOE freeze is helpful here too). Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. I figured out how to do the elemental packs and cleared my way to the second boss. I am getting him down to 40% then wipes.... Anyone has any tips how to do this ? I watched legalism's video... I have all the toons clumped by a pillar while my tank is tanking on the stairs. Do I need to manage the wind? Or just rely on luck ? Also, can I skip him and get to the last platform, or I have to kill him to be able to teleport ? The last boss has mechanics that look more manageable as a mboxer

Thanks

Yeah, the second boss kind of sucks and is largely based on getting the good winds when you don't move your guys. I usually use most of my cooldowns during this fight. Make sure to avoid the tornados on your tank and taunt the boss every time he starts casting his breath. Also, you can move your healer slightly to the right of your pack of DPS and that pushes her up the stairs just a tad so she can see (and heal) your tank even if he runs to the middle. Just don't move her too far or she'll get tornadoed.

Lay on hands is nice in the fight if your healer gets bad winds chained on her and healing the tank is tough.

Challenging, but doable fight.

The thrid boss is cake if you move to the grounding areas and jump right when he starts casing Static Charge. The hard part after the 2nd boss is the trash.

I was able to clear the whole dungeon last night. What did it was switching my priest back to her holy spec. Disc was not viable at all (at least for me) in terms of healing power. Holy is so much better. I played holy all through wrath heroics but wanted to see how disc would perform with added DPS and healing. Turns out the DPS was not really a big factor, but healing was...

Thanks for all the tips. I wouldn't say it's on farm by any mean but at least I now have access to orbs to start making better gear for my tank
