Heya gang! So... I'm kinda getting tired of my care bear existence on PVE Uldaman now that I am used to boxing for a few months... and I'm gonna start up my lvl 7 (lol) priests on Mag again.

I have my PVE healing down pretty easy by my main macro /cast [help] [target=targettarget, help] [target=player] *healspell* and spread the casts around to all the characters. The few times I've done AV (for the quests :P ), besides the fact that I need practice dealing with a toon dying and switching focus, my PVE healing breaks down... cuz <gasp> that dang rogue ignores my threat on frostshock!!!

I'm wondering if anyone has any tidbits that I could put into my repertoire and get used to as I level. Standing on the shoulders of you giants is quite fun, I've played this game for just about 3 years now, and just as I was about to give up from boredom I stumble on you guys 8o

If you play on a pvp server, spec for PvP i say! On Mag you will get people ganking you just becuase you're a boxer. You find this happens most often in Hillsbrad & STV, but other than those areas I pretty much got left alone. Anyway, you just suck it up and mvoe on, or if its repeated get one of us with a 70's group to come help...I wouldn't run with 5 priests, but thats just me...still you're only level 7, so changing your lineup now won't be too hard...

Cheers,

Only one real thing to do with priests to be successful in PVP: spec Circle of Healing and Unbreakable Will. The rest is gravy.

OK, so I'm employing a bit of silliness but I can't recall the number of times I've been able to survive gank attempts by people 10-15 levels higher than me due to having an instant, uninterruptible AoE heal. At 70 with trash greens, it heals for 1100-1400 a pop, every 2 seconds. Quite a lot more with trinkets popped. For most world PVP, that's plenty. BGs are a different story but that's true for anybody. :)

Ok, after some goofing around with my macro, I added a new qualifier::
/cast [help] [target=focustarget, help] [target=targettarget, help] [target=player] Renew
One of my problems was relying on mobs picking my targettarget to heal, without that bold addition. Or having to hit the "/assist /follow" key to get the toon to heal which would spin guys around and maybe make them move and break casting. Of course I could have made another macro "/assist" without the follow... but I'm kinda happy with my noob self thinking through a mod to this one . Of course it seems so obvious now.
/facepalm
