I was in shadowmoon valley leveling a full level 68 team. A 71 shaman landed and engaged me even though they had to be able to tell it was more than one person - i have a hunter and lock in the group and they had seen me grinding quest mobs. He landed and lightning bolted my dk.

I usually ignore people when questing because they just relog and try to camp you later but this person was a fool. He was dead by the time he landed after being death gripped. I could tell his ankh was up but i was walking away and he ankhed and cast an instant chain lightning. I lost about ten percent health on several toons and he died instantly again after that.

Do you have any stories of people who were shockingly stupid like tihis guy?

All the time. I had some 85 warrior come and attempt to payback my DK team after I killed his alt for attacking me. WTF did he think was going to happen? Magically solo 5 characters? Once he realized he had no way to pay me back the in game whispers started, accusing me of camping his low level. Boggles the mind sometimes.

lol i was farming quests in uldum not but a few hours ago, bustin ass leveling, doing an escort quest. Had a warlock who was flying overhead get hit by my howling blasts as he was just low enough to be in the aoe range i guess... lol so he and a priest shadow friend of his thought it'd be a good idea to attack me for attacking him.

When they engaged i had already been spamming a large group of spawned adds during the escort... My AoE heal on my pally is on my Shift+T key... which is also my lichborne key/antimagic shell key on my dks... needless to say they tried to spam fear on me 2 or three times then died in the flurry of me howling blast chaining all the adds.... i never even had to target them rofl.... they came back and started spamming /spit on me, i just /lol at them with all five then deathgripped them outta the sky over and over and killed them both again for good measure.

They left shortly after, silly alliance!

PS:coolstorybro !!! lol sorry... had to... ahhahaa

I was leveling a warrior (just hit 82) and killed some scrub warrior who was 81. The warrior gets on horde and starts talking trash to me and then gets on his main 85 warlock and proceeds to get stomped by me for 20 kills.

I love REALLY BAD players.

I should spec my DKs frost before they nerf it in 4.06

Probably like 1 in every 50 people i meet in BG's.

Aparantly they think somewhat like this:

OMG i get extremely owned by 4 other chars, this can not happen i shall kill him.

OMFG? I got owned again and again, I must be able to kill those chars!

*nerdrage* DIIIEEEE!!11

Like really, people charging in and dying in 4 Lvb's and they retry and retry me x4 vs him/her, when there's obviously no chance that they would even win 1 char vs 1. Like they lack the ability to move forward or draw a conclusion.

I play on Proudmoore which is a normal server so not a hell of a lot of world PvP action generally. Saying that, I have done a bit in Hellfire in BC, Wintergrasp in LK and now Tol Barad.

I have to say the stupidest was a couple of weeks ago doing the quest mob in the keep in Tol Barad. I hate how people generally don't wait the turns in which they come for these quest mobs so I will quite often drop an Army of the Dead to quickly tag the mob when its my turn. This was my last quest for the day so I dropped all 4 in this case.

So I am standing in the room waiting for the mob to spawn, my priest, 4 DKs and 40 ghouls. This tauren turns up solo, unflagged. Now I don't even know if he attacked one of my toons or just flagged but he literally went red one second then died as the ghouls mobbed him. Funniest thing I've ever seen. I didn't even have time to cast anything or attack in anyway before the ghouls killed the poor bugger.

Back in Magtheridon's heyday, there were at least two or three people a week that would mess with one of the Zerg there and then proceed to get camped by 3 of us. 15 people usually means you can't get away without spirit rezing at the graveyard. Then of course, there are the guilds that would try to lure us out somewhere and attack us with like 5-10 people. Needless to say, when there's 15-20 of us, they tended to die rather spectacularly.

I recall one episode where they killed one of Oathbreaker's alt teams while he was AFK on top of a mushroom in Zangar. We showed up, killed the 5 or 6 guys that were camping his corpses to prevent a rez and then proceeded to pick them off one at a time as they'd swoop in on their epic mounts to tease us. 15 corruptions tends to make short work of mounted noobs.

Then there were those horde guilds that were really alliance guys that were bored and playing alts that would try to lure us out to "help them kill an elite for a quest." *wink* *wink* When their alliance buddies would try to gank us in the middle of the elite pull, we'd just kill everyone, including the elite. Hilarity. I think that only happened twice, though. Must have been seriously demoralizing.

had this happen a couple times to me while leveling, one particular time random alli lock questing in uldum same as I thought he wanted to give me and my dk's a try he runs up hits the pally with a curse of doom and before he could cast his next spell he was dead, then uses his sole stone and attempts to flea so I killed him again for good measure he didn't want to play any more after that, sort of gave me some what of a huge birth whenever we were in the same area.

Well last night I was the dumb one. Took portal to Uldum to check out quartermasters (on my geared 85 ele shaman - solo). So inside the main building I see this flagged lvl 84 dranei mage, in the middle of a hearthstone cast to stormwind. Windshear, fs + lvb and 1-2 casts away from killing mage. Mage ice blocks, and I get jumped on by 2 npcs beating the crap out of me and kill me in a few seconds. Mages gives me the 'weird look' emote, and starts to hs again. Think I sat here laughing for minutes about my stupidity.

In Deepholm just last week. Me = (4) Bloodelf Priests. (3) shadow and (1) holy..

Minding my own business, questing, a 5 boxer Pally set drops in on me, and starts going to town. I admit, I had a hard time keeping everyone alive, and soon realized this was either going to take a while, or, else Id run out of mana. I had a little time to locate his leader. Cast Mind control from all 4... (He cant stop ALL of me), and threw his ass off the edge of the cliff we were on. The other 4 Pallies just stood there a sec. I could see him pick a new one to lead. Rinse, repeat 2 more times, until he had just 2 left.

/Pally bubble, and run.

I let him go. He got the point.

Couple, one where I was stupid, one where they were really stupid. I first got to Ramakhen or whatever it is on my shaman team, a druid (85) kept following me through town, so I insta flameshock/LvB and nearly killed him. He hauls ass outside doing what druids do, healing and running. Almost get him...almost dead...five guards pretty much barbeque me in a second. I'm sure he had a good laugh on that one.

Another, an 81 or so hunter decides to engage my DK when I was on my PvE team (DK 82, the rest 80). I guess he didn't see the 4 decently geared 80s behind me. He died several times before giving up and flying off. Don't know why he kept attacking my DK and ignoring the chain of DPS and holy pally behind me.

I'm actually an anti-ganker. While leveling my 4shammy/pally team in Cata I would run across gankers jumping horde all the time. Instead of killing the ganker, I 4xchain healed the hordie. Haha, fun times.

Crucible of Carnage brings out a lot of dead heroes. This is the latest, but there have been a few times when LoB members are present helping folks with the chain when horde think, "Oh wow! Free kills!" yeah not so much.

I was on my mage the other day in a random group working on the quest chain. A druid and a DK decide to gank us while we kill the bosses. Myself and another mage roast the two, repeatedly. They tried to get us each boss. Each time they died and there was barely a hiccup in the encounter. B+ for effort, D- for execution.

If you are same faction you can tag the mob with the person and it counts for both people. Includes lootable items like the Archmage Staff, so it's not really a case of waiting...Unless it's another faction of course and then it's mob/node steal at all costs to keep the feud alive. I particularly enjoy training a group of mobs onto a guy dropping an AoE trying to get at a mining/herb node. But then again, I dislike the hordes....

But Tol Barad makes for some hilarious fights.
A buddy of mine got ganked by 5 hordies a combination of 3 pallies a rogue and a feral druid in Tol Barad while doing dailies, since another friend and I were in the area we showed up. So 2 boomkins and 1 arms warrior ...We proceeded to kill all 5 repeatedly they even had a hunter from their guild show up to help...

After getting roflstomped for about 7 or 8 kills (Non pvp so why they didn't just hang out at the GY and stop rushing in at us...) each the better geared prot pally decides to log on an ally and proceed with tell taunts of how we won't 1v1 him and why we root and run instead of standing there to let him melee us... This from the guy who figured that 6v3 was completely fair or the fact that apparently a bum rush of bodies means people will eventually die? *Boggle* Bad players are bad...

That's when you know that they are angry and embarrassed. A lot of players who get smacked around in PVP understand that is how it goes sometimes, so they take their lumps and have fun with it. The players that log on an alt to talk smack are the ones that forgot that it's a game and won't be able to sleep that night. Those are always the most satisfying ones.

QFT. The best of these are in cross realm BGs when you get people from other realms making lvl 1s to do it.

Drizhal the mobs I'm referring to are on the neutral Tol Barad island. No actual loot from them and last week when I did the quest only one group or person could tag them still. I think the change to the mini dungeon bosses in TB being lootable by all was a very reasonable one by Blizz for a change :P
