Ok, I'm level 59, reading through the mount quest. It seems like gold-wise, it's pretty close to the same cost as just buying the mount at the vendors.

I was planning on visiting most of the level 60 instances after I get to Outland and get better gear to make my life easier. I do plan on going back to those instances because my goal is to complete all the instances in this game so I will go through all the instances needed for the mount quest.

But the thought of running around Hellfire on a 60% mount is not so appealing.

Right when I hit 60, my Shaman and Mages are getting their mounts (the gold is just burning in their pockets), which just leaves my Paladin with the choice to make... *sigh* ?(

I didn't do the quest on my paladin, because as you said it's almost a wash in terms of gold cost, but I did do it on my warlock as it was only about 120g since I could share components with others that had done the quest.

I kind of wish I had done the quest on my paladin though cause I dont like the look of the ram but really I saw no point struggling to get help to do it when it cost me like 20g or something to just buy the mount at market costs at the time.

I did my epic mount quest for my paladin. It actually just so happened that I was running BRD/LBRS/Scholo/Strath for EXP during my 50s so I ended up with most of the items I needed without the need to spend gold. Not to mention doing the horde quest line vs. the alliance one makes everything merrier. Not to mention I personally think it's one of the best looking mounts in the game.

I had 2 paladins. The first one, I completed the quest when I was 63 Prot Pally, 2-boxing with a 63 Warrior.

I could almost 2-box it, but I wiped like 3 times.
I called on 2 level 70 guildies Mage and Warlock, and it was done. :)

When my 2nd Paladin hit 60, my 70 Prot Pally pretty much soloed it. My 2nd paladin did not even heal, just consecrate.

Mt 3rd Paladin is only 14.

Mt 3rd Paladin is only 14.

When did this obsession with paladins start? Did you have a traumatic childhood?
