My first Chaos Orb

Finally got through Heroic SFK and got my first chaos orb! (and promptly made a nice new shield)

I did skip the 3rd boss on my way through but plan to get him down soon.

I know for many it wasn't that difficult but I probably had about 30 wipes over my 3x(days) into the zone , started with first 2 bosses, got those down over a couple days. Then got the last 2 yesterday.

Granted some of the wipes were me just being stupid. Like on the last boss. Read the strats, pulled the boss, then was like oh, I see. (Pistol barrage), pulled again went better (oh need to remove that curse). 4th time almost got down, Then went on a series of 5 pulls that just didnt' go well. Was getting frustrated and noticed I had pulled my healbot window down so it was offset so about 1/2 a bar off. So many of my heals werent' going through :). Oopsies (yes I did lock it once I fixed it (no idea why it wasn't))

Anyway, wanted to give a big Thank You all those for tips, strat posts, questions answered etc.

Next up is to clear VP(only first named so far) and get the 3rd named in SFK.

If you can do final boss in SFK... 2nd boss in VP is definitely easier, just jam your guys up against the one pillar... dodge whirlwinds on your tank... and watch for breath attack and spam taunts. The VP chaos orb is very easy to farm compared to SFK. VP is like a WotLK instance... short.

Another boss to get into farm rotation, Lockmaw. Figured out how to do him... real easy... just make sure you have the recent DBM addon. Turn on the messages, look for the 'Scent' message and the Poison dot message. Use the same AoE setup that you used on final boss in SFK. Scent message, get ready to focus heal the target... clear dot fast, use aoe's for trash, don't turn lockmaw away from group (opposite of final boss in sfk lol)... oh I tank him in front of the little stairwell... to force the trash adds into a concentrated pack.

I wish I could crack Halls of Origination... so many trinkets in there... that first boss on Heroic is way harder then normal... similar mechanic... but the change to the levers is super lame. I'm gonna wind up spending a ton of money on Decks trinkets :((

In VP my `problem is not the bosses....is the TRASH after the second boss...but well, i need to make something to my 4 shammis CC's

If you have 4 shammies, you can do the trash real easy.

Setup a focus target for each shammy (I can post exact macros when I get home). Then a Hex macro which hexes the focus target.

The 2nd trash group is a bit of a pain because of that magic shield/pyrimid thingy. I sheep/hex the front three as they walk through it, then you can shield chuck (pally) the guy in the middle to pull him out of it. The last group you gotta LOS pull them out, I run back up the stairs, and hex/sheep them as they run by my slaves/dpsers. I think you'll kick yourself when you see how easy the Last boss in VP is to kill. At least I did... so many days I coulda been farming orbs.

VP is definitely the one heroic you want to throw into your list of daily activities... it's short, fairly doable, decent caster dagger, tank trinket, chaos orb and 210 JPs a day, plus Faction rep :)
