I need a single boxing character...

I am thinking of rogue or mage, but i'm not sure. Also open to other suggestions. My options right now I'm looking at are...

Rogue
Mage
Enhance shaman
Shadow Priest
Hunter

I have every class 75+ right now and am simply not interested in playing a healer.

I have at 85...
Paladin (i dont enjoy this class, its OK for boxing but i don't really enjoy it, its very stale... plate rogue that isn't as good)
DK (i was glad on this class as a single boxer in season 5 and 6, but it's stale to play by itself IMO at least for right now)
Warrior(With the nerfs... nty)

It also doesn't help that I'm an altaholic.

Since you're mentioning seasons, I'll assume pvp is a consideration.

I had a blast with a Hunter in solo (one-toon) pvp (battleground), in Classic Warcraft.
Similar fun with a Mut/Prep rogue in Wrath of the Lich King.

Mages are the current OP class in battlegrounds, at least against every melee except a DK.
And have the tools to contribute in PvE as well.
Not sure if they'll get nerfed down to the ground next, or not.

That is why i am hesitant to roll a mage. The fear of complete nerfs... but rogues and mages have never ever been bad for pvp. Hunters are really really bad right now, and i dont think the patch is going to fix that. And PVP is the main focus... 2's and 3's with my rogue buddy.

I would recommend mage- just cause rogue/mage is amazing for you and your friend.

I would also rec hunter- they suck now but the patch, oh boy they are getting buffed. Hop on the ptr and see for yourself, mages are going to cry again like they did s5/s6 dmg is insane and mobility is very nice now. I am speaking about the spec MM

I would like to vote mage myself being as you will be teamed with a rogue then it is just finding a solid priest for RMP 3's

Even with power shifting, a good Frost Mage really sucks to play against as 5x Feral.

My priority targets are:
a) Mage
b) Warlock
c) Priest
d) Any other healer
e) Everything else.

If the power shifting goes through, one mage will destroy any number of Warriors/Druids that they see coming.

If you check my web site you will see I ditched 15 shaman for 10 mages (went from 36 to 31 boxing) way pre cata.

Fire Mage is the win in pvp, imnsho.

No matter I have to level them up from level 1, mage offensive is just so much better then shaman offensive.

If i were to only play one toon it would be a mage or druid. Druid for the flexibility to play ANY role if the need arises, ie healer..caster dps, melee dps or tank. The instant flight form comes in handy if he has at least one gathering skill.

Mages can get around easy, are great dps, awesome PvP and never have to buy water 8)
