LoL, I need help in a way to curb my power level trip.

Quick history. I started w/ 2 Accounts since release of WoW.

1.60 Orc Warrior
2.60 Troll Priest

Some alts for bank mule, that never got beyond level 20 to begin with.

At some point, I got
1.39 Rogue twinked for BG
1.39 Hunter twinked for BG

Then TBC. I rolled a Paladin and Mage together. I end up dropping the mage, and just boost my paladin w/ a 60 warrior. I end up with:
1.70 Warrior
1.39 Rogue
1.39 Hunter

2.70 Paladin
2.60 Priest
2.32 Mage

My original idea was to have Warrior tank and Paladin heal, but what end up in my 2-box quest grind, Paladin tanks, and Warrior DPS--not much healing was needed in combat for outside questing.

I also end up with a 1.70 Rogue along the way via Prot Pally boosting.

Then my 3rd account fever came, and I transferred my 70 Prot Paladin to a 3rd account. Ever since, I've been levelling toons like crazy. I need help :p to get "focused" on something instead of being A.D.D. in leveling lowbies.

What I end up today is:
1.70 Orc/War
1.70 Und/Rog
1.64 Bef/Pal
1.39 Trl/Rog
1.39 Orc/Hun
1.29 Und/Loc
1.20 Und/Mag
1.14 Orc/Hun
1.14 Trl/Hun
1.14 Tau/Sha

2.65 Trl/Pri
2.40 Bef/Mag
2.22 Und/Mag
2.18 Tau/Dru
2.14 Bef/Pal
2.14 Und/Rog
2.13 Und/Loc
2.13 Tau/Hun
2.12 Tau/Sha
2.10 Und/Loc

3.70 Bef/Pal
3.14 Und/Loc
3.14 Tau/Dru
3.14 Tau/Sha
3.14 Und/Mag

http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/Jay/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-2.jpgFor now, I have my "focus" on levelling to 70 with:
1.64 Bef/Pal
2.65 Trl/Pri
3.70 Bef/Pal

But I also want a 3x Mage, 3x Shaman, 3x Warlock to play with...

And since my Prot pally is great, I started thinking my 1.64 Bef/Pal who's main purpose is to be Holy can do the same with a few Tank Gear at Prot spec. And with this thinking, I can see the benefit of creating more characters to level in the 3rd Account.

I wonder if I go to 5 account, I'd have the same power leveling problem of wanting lots of characters leveled up.

Any insights and thoughts? Any of you "been there" and what have you done about it? :)

I personally handled a similar problem by deleting a lot of the alts away, deliberately making it harder on myself to dilute my playtime and focus. I still maintain a number of L70s and such, but clearing out the mules/alts was very helpful to me.

I forced myself to remove all alts lower than lvl 20 when I only had two accounts a few month ago. I had consolidated mule-items, but it helped clean up what I really wanted to work on, and get rid of all the 'test' alts. Unfortunately, I've found myself playing on too many realms now, so I may have to start purging realms this time around. Playing many alts is one thing - since you can powerlevel, bank, and group with them.. but playing so many different realms that aren't interactive - that's something best avoided. Unfortunately I can't manage to convince the various RL friends I've had over the years (middle school, high school, college, post-college) to all transfer to one realm, so I may be stuck playing in 7 different realms. :)

Notice I stop at level 14 most of the time?
That's because 14-20 is boost levelling in Shadow Fang Keep. I can hit level 20 quick.

I guess when I think about that time I spend prior to the 3rd account, I would play WarCraft3 DotA map for about 2 hours after Iog off WoW. I stopped playing Dota, and I end up with more alts now.

I've delete a handful of level 14 and below. I don't really sell stuff in the AH, and maybe I should just do a garage sale this weekend to clear up bank slots--this the less need for mules.

I even created names with Alt+# symbols such as ù û ú and I keep forgetting who's who between the 3 accounts.

I had a similar problem myself. I've had two account. I bought two collectors ed, day one. I opened one, later on that spring i finally opened the other (thou my friends kept telling me to ebay it, but meh). Moved my 60 mage over, so i had a 60 mage and shaman duo. I then rolled a warrior to 60, a hunter and a warlock. These were all horde. Luckily around the time I finally decided to start my 5-boxing, my friends decided to all jump alliance. So now i have a fresh start with only a 56 hunter on a pvp realm i'll never move.
My 2 cents is I would just right down a setup of what you want to play and stick to it unless your either: getting bored with it, its not working well, or some really good reason. I ended up doing this to come with my pally, priest, 2 warlock and mage combo. Once I get those to 70 i'll prob roll out a shaman and possible try to fit it into replacing a warlock or just as a fun alt.

Two things I did to help with bank alts.

1) sell everything and be more selective about what is banked.
* I made a good amount of cash this way and everything in the game is replaceable. I did this on my current server when I went to play on another server about 8 months ago (only recently came back). This got rid of a lot of pre-BC stuff and mostly now acts as temp storage that I can mail stuff to and as my auction mule.

2) create a guild for your alts with a bank
* I have a guild specifically for my banks/unplayed alts with different trade skills I still use. What this does is first of all limit the amount of crap I can store (I only have 1 tab). Second of all, I won't forget where anything is at. So I can store primals, gems and enchanting mats without losing them _and_ I can easily see how much I have and auction off the surplus.

As for other alts, I'm going to need to free up at least one slot for my DK when WotLK is released :)

I think subconsiously, just before WoTLK is release, I will but 2 new accounts and transfer my 1.70 Warrior an 1.70 Rogue. Then 5-box the quest using Pally Tank, Pally Healer/Priest with uhhh 2 melee (Warrior and Rogue)--painful but that's what will happen when I roll DK alts. :D

Ok, things to do:
1. Create Alt Guild
2. Buy Guild Bank
3. Sell
4. Delete extra mules.
