View Full Version : [WoW]Guild perks - What's in for MBs?

My accounts will be linked until mid Apr and I've got a question.
If I were to start up my own guild and basically have no perks whatsoever, would it be the same if I were to join a guild which is say lvl 10?
I mean, as far as I know I benefit from RAF XP the time my accounts are linked , and while this applies heirlooms nor guild perks regarding more XP will not stack with RAF XP.
Help me out on this one, couldn't find a topic here, cheers.

Your own guild, is your own bank as well.
I believe three tabs is the economical point, where another guild is cheaper than a fourth but the third tab was worthwhile; there are 98 slots per tab, so that's close to 300 shared banking slots.
You can deposit stuff and withdraw immediately with another toon, without the mailing delay.
You will easily get 5% bonus experience and 10% flight speed.
Possibly a few ranks beyond that.
I believe guilds that have had five or six boxers level five toons to 85th from 80th, reached level five or so.
Not sure how many teams you have.
A level 10 guild will get you the option of an heirloom cloak.
Which is another +5% or +10% experience for your lower toons.
By the time you have the guild faction to buy it, you'll likely be 85 on the main team already.

I'd suggest joining a lvl 10+ guild if possible. People to talk to you (they are generally nicer to you when you are in your guild, but a hacker when you aren't lol), xp bonus will be nice for 60+, less durabilty lost when you die, faster mount speed.

Depends on what sort of multiboxing, nothing game changing for sure. ... http://www.wowpedia.org/Guild_perks#Guild_perks ... if your just doing pvp not much.
Increase Justice/Honor/Conquest/Experience points gained, gold looted and cost reduction by 10% are nice. Durability loss and cauldron buffs might be more of a benefit than it ever was with heroic attempts.
But yes, your not going to be able to get one of every race of every class to honored rep in the guild and be able to say it was worth it. i am sure there are tweaks upcoming to smooth out the achievements and the rewards a bit more.
That said, a guild for just your own use is outstanding. I love having a bank tab to trade with versus between characters. One of the reasons I am not too fond of having all the slaves in a 'real' guild. But I see that having the slaves really contributes to the guild xp so ... meh why not.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm now more convinced on doing my own guild.
I totally agree on guild tab benefits, I've noticed in a smaller scene with my bank toon, heh.
My team contains 3 toons and I've got only one time, recently started.
I just purchased ISBoxer and I'm quite eager to get started with it. Been using Keyclone until now.

You can get higher rank with your own guild too. My guild is just me multi-boxing + my wife with her own account. Last weekend we got rank 8.
Non collection Tol Barad, Deepholm, Uldum and Twilight Highland Dailies are about 1 million guild xp (about 1 hour of questing). 2 Heroics per day are another 2 million. With some random alt questing or more heroics you should see a total of about 3.5 to 4.5 million xp per day. That's not too bad, the daily cap is at 6.2 million.

Klesh very interesting. My gear is to low for heroics however i look forward to the day I can put that kinda of dent in the daily guild cap.
Wadair, I leveled in my guild from 80 to 85, four toons (fifth was in a different guild), I barely reached level 2.
This is kinda frustating especially with the fifth toon gaining all the lovely perks from the other guild. However, it is what it is.
I definitly do enjoy the guild tab, very nice. I purchases five tabs instead of starting another guild because of the convience.
I do wonder if they are going to do any adjustments to the guild leveling process to enable smaller guilds to achieve leveling more responibly. No biggie, but for some reason I'm really looking forward to the 5% deposit into the guild bank.
I'm happy to report that our guild will ding lvl 11 today.
It's just with me and my wife.
I do non collection therazane, wild hammer clan and tol barad dailies, takes about 1 hour total plus some heroics at night.
So it's not as steep as it seems initially.

Congrats Igg. Guild lvl 11 is impressive.
This thread has been motivating seeing other boxers are able to achieve these guild level.
Also when 4.06 go live, you'll gain more guild exp per kill if your group is 5/5 guild members.
Currently a heroic boss give 37600, after 4.0.6, it will be 47000k per boss per character.
In effect, every boss kill will yield 235k towards guild exp from a group of 5.
Dungeons like heroic halls of origination has 7 bosses ( I do only 6 x 235k = 1.4 mil guild exp, which is roughly 1/4 of the daily cap).
So it's not as bad as I originally thought. Now we don't cap the guild everyday, some nights we play alts or do other stuff but generally, we're lagging a couple days behind big guilds, but hey it's 5 vs. the zerg guild so who cares really.

My guild reached lvl 11 yesterday. Last days we didn't cap out on xp. There are about 55 lvl 85 toons in the guild, and another 15 between 80 and 85. Not sure why we don't cap out lately as we do run our daily hc's.

Level 10 as of sunday.
Mostly done by me + my gf's team, got some other people in it aswell, but most are lowerlevel.
The +10% xp and 5% rep and 10% faster mount are really worth it.
The 5% perk for the guildbank is only noticable when you kill raid bosses.
Im in a level 12 guild, with one team. its a new team, and im taking my time about it, as I already have an 85 or two, in the guild. My team is a bit of a mascot for the guild. They love to see me get on, and often, someone will ask me to drop my 85, and go get the team. Running old dungeons, and outlands dungeons, outland heroics, etc, I have single handedly gotten every "Guild Achievement" for dungeon since RFC. They love seeing the 5 toons ding, and seeing the 5 names announced as completing a dungeon, followed by "Guild Achievement!"

Yea I am loving the guild achv system too lol. I think we have around 800 AP. Done most heroics/dungeons so far. Just need to do some wotlk & bc raids.

.
Possibly less economical, but 6 tabs sure are a lot more convenient than having two bank guilds.... (unless you end up with 2.5ish bank guilds with 6 tabs each... <.<)

I've got seven guilds, with three tabs each, for storage.
But really only use two of them a lot.
Both are four tabs.
The guild for my Ferals, which I've moved the other alliance toons to for leveling.
And the guild for my Auction House alt.

I'm the only multiboxer in a guild of about 10-12 people, most folks run at least one alt so there's my 5 + another 10ish 85s and then assorted alts. I think we've been capping guild exp every day the past couple weeks as they've been raiding and I've been questing to catch up :)
