I'm currently grinding several teams up to level 75 and 85. As such I'm bored out of my mind.

Does anyone have recommendations for good TV or movies to watch while I play?

I have Netflix and used it to watch Stargate Universe, but I've finished all those episodes.

What do you watch during the boring grinds?

i watched Legend of the Seeker for a while until they canceled it, it only has 2 seasons. Very cool show in my opinion though.

Anything which you've seen previously, so don't need to give more than cursory interest would work.

I've entertained myself with CSI, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Firefly, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, plus assorted stand-alone movies.

There's five seasons of Dexter to go through. It's mostly a dialogue/narrative series so you can follow along while mostly focusing on your game screens.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a treat but, as Ulaa pointed out, if you haven't seen it already you will be distracted.

supernatural --> 6 seasons

Knight rider (2008) --> 1 season

NCIS --> ~8 seasons

big bang theory --> 4 seasons

Not a big fan of Dexter :(

Should get you true the grinding :p

big bang theory --> 4 seasons

That.

Dexter is to complicated for me, to follow while boxing. Good serie though.

Big Bang is comedy and brainless. +1 from me.

Chuck -> 4 seasons action serie mostly. Simple to follow most of the time.

I liked Lie to me, a serie about a guy who detects when people lie.

Top gear :D

True blood. You love it or you hate it I guess. I do like it.

Supernatural is to shallow for my taste, or atleast the first 15 episodes I've seen. Always the same: Let's go to small town X to kill thing Y, repeat. It seemed they forgot to add a storyline there. People told it gets better but I cba.

Movies:
Scott pilgrim vs the world. Get him to the greek. Iron man 2. Unthinkable. Hot tub Time Machine. Kick ass. Fun to watch simple movies in 2010 that I can recall.

One of the few movies I could watch over and over is Iron Monkey. But I generally just watch whatever is on TV. My TV and Monitor sit side by side.

Hmm, netflix and Stargate...

Ok, Babylon 5, Andromeda, Mutant X, A lot of people liked that one with the stupid puppets something about a guy named John who goes through a wormhole to another part of the galaxy. Forget the name though. Just never got into it. Wife just told me, Farscape.

Lot's of good sci fi serials though to choose from. Now if they just ever get the six Million Dollar man out, I'll be good to go .

For Sci-Fi, I like Sanctuary {Though the Kate Character blows in S2.}. Stargate SG1 is always a win, Stargate Atlantis after the first season. Farscape is another awesome show. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, because who doesn't love Summer Glau and Garrett Dillahunt? Doctor Who is the current run for us, interspersed with Torchwood.

Speaking of Garrett Dillahunt, Deadwood and Raising Hope. Speaking of Deadwood, Sons of Anarchy, Psych, Justified, Breaking Bad, Caprica {mostly}, Jericho.

Mythbusters is always good for grinding. Jeremiah was a surprisingly good show if you can find it. And The Simpsons has been on for like 20 years, so there's plenty of episodes to load up and forget about.

I'll second the Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Towards the end mid-late Season Two, some of the episodes were slower/sucked, and Fox warned Josh Friedman that those were killing the ratings. Some episodes I would skip.

But overall the show rocked, if you even sort of like the Terminator franchise.
Good stories, excellent chemistry between characters both getting along and tension.
Plenty of action; I was really disappointed with its cancellation.

extreme engineering i like but tends to interrupt gameplay occasionally

any stand up shows (I personally really like Argumental but on UK TV only I think - genius). for stand up comedy I recommend Eddie Izzard, Pablo Francisco, George Carlin, Bill Bailey and Jimmy Carr for starters

and if you're an overachiever, learn a new language.

All of the Buffy TV series is on streaming Netflix. That is 7 seasons worth of viewing to kill some time. :)

I watch G.I. Joe and Serenity and episodes of Firefly.

Also watch episodes of Top Gear which are fairly mindless as well.

I sometimes will watch netflix while boxing.

75% of the time I'm listening to a podcast called "Sick and Wrong". Hilarious and highly entertaining podcast that makes boring stuff go by fast.

20% of the time I'm listening to music.

5% would be various youtube videos or netflix.

Check out Pandorum (great psi-fi horror/thriller) and Rampage (Uwe Bol manages to direct a good movie for once) on Netflix.

Netflix has all of the history and discovery channel shows on instant download so mythbusters and The Universe I watch a lot. Supernatural gets a whole lot better after the first season and they even said the first one blows. Most everything else has been listed so far. I ground through 6 seasons of Nip Tuck last year. They were not too bad, but by season 6 it had clearly jumped the shark.
