I'm faction changing 16 of my 40 toons (rest are just alch junkies, i can use neutral AH to x-fer stuff)

5x paladin
5x dk
priest
warrior
4x druids

Teams i will be running

priest/paladin + 4x dks
dk + 4x ret
4x druids
and warrior for 3's with my friend as well

I was THINKING

DK + 4x ret as all draenei because of the 20% hp over 15 second heal (if that stays next patch), for a team with no healer really this could be game changing (especially to keep the DK alive)
Priest/Pally + 4x DKs as human
4x Druids as NE for in form shadowmeld
Human Warrior for extra DPS/trinket slot

LMK when you think of my ideas.

Im guessing your going to be running PvP on the priest/paladin+4dk team so Human? Free pvp trinket ftw!

Dk+4 rets - draeneis is a good idea, alltho i've got a few draeneis and you dont really feel that heal when your above 80..

if the 20% goes through draenei will be a good choice for dk 4 ret, especially considering the team essentially despite being 5 dps is an endurance team at this point, staying a live while they oom is always a good thing.

i dont have firsthand experience, but from what i understand the ability to drop combat with shadowmeld with a druid so you can stealth is incredibly powerful, the question is how useful would it be for a multiboxer.

for the DK team its really about maxing your burst dps. i thought dps trinkets all shared a 30sec cooldown in which case you may not benefit greatly from being human, however, choosing a race like worgen for run speed or gnome for escape artist to keep you in melee range getting those necrotic strikes off might be more useful. the same might hold true for the ret team honestly. having an extra WoG cause you were able to close the gap while you had zealotry up would outweigh the benefit of the draenei heal.

Why does it seem Alliance have instant queues on almost every BG :P

If I were you pvp focused teams go human. PVE go Draeni.

I went draenei on my 4dk 1pali team. Right now the racial is useless but I think that healing could be a big deal in arena when my Paladin is getting focused. The extra healing might be the difference between paladin getting off 100k healing and paladin getting off 200k healing.

In Whirlwind, level 85 alliance queues are 10 minutes or so; weekend afternoon queues.
That for AV, EotS or Random (during EotS weekend).
Aside from AV, alliance doesn't seem to win that often in boxed or solo-toon BG's.

They changed the Shadow Meld, making it not quite as fun as pre-Cataclysm.
You can still Shadow Meld in combat, in PvE and basically automatically reset anything.
But you can no longer Shadow Meld in world PvP, and get out of combat for Flight Form on demand.
The change is no-npc-threat, instead of out-of-combat.
I still like Night Elves a lot, but Worgen are really close on racials.

if you can't break pvp combat with meld there's no reason to get it imo - im glad they nerfed it honestly
worgen are awesome, even their passive is great

-.-

bastard druids gtfo

On a completely unbiased note, you may have faster que times, but you won't win nearly as much. (In my own personal, pretty limited experience at 85 as horde VS extensive experience at 80 on both sides of BG9.

Not in bg9, alliance are decent... sometimes horde and alliance have retards... doesn't matter what side you are on. But when que times are to the point during prime time that i can lose three times in the time it takes to get into two bgs for horde (not even complete the 2nd one) then the obvious choice is to switch. Plus i played horde for YEARS, need some sort of change to keep things fresh.

I won about 25 EOTS's this weekend on BG9. I lost about 5. I race changed to alliance. I'd like to think I was the primary reason for this as I was able to lock down the two horde side cap points myself 95% of the time. Part of this is the fact I am geared out the ass compared to the average joe still BG grinding but still.

what trinkets do humans go for then? am i right that two activated DPS trinkets will always share a 30 sec cooldown? in that case do you try to use 1 activated and 1 proc based DPS trinket?

I'd go with the resil/str(use) + DMC: Hurricane or resil/str proc one

That will be a very solid combo for sure, as Horde I'm a bit jealous. I haven't experimented with the Hurricane cards yet, but I do plan on picking them up for my melee. Assuming they are similar to Darkmoon Death with the high proc chance and Internal cooldown (I haven't been able to find much data on this yet), they will provide some great semi-reliable opening burst.

There is no more Battlegroups for regular BGs, only for arenas and rated BGs i believe. so any BGs should be region wide now, which means now that you are alliance, it's time to come to Kil'Jaeden!!!

BGs were just combined.. they are not all the same. They basically combined all BGs from areas together, so all EC clusters in one BG.. all central in another..all WC another. I "think" thats how they did it.
