Looking to honor grind my Ferals.
Curious if Alterac Valley is still the best place.

On Whirlwind, alliance has 10-15 minute queues.
AV is a 50% win rate, the other BG's somewhere in the 30% range.
* Assuming level 85 rates, will be similar to level 80.

TB is horde 95% of the time.

the call to arms weekend is the same for all Battle Groups right ?

So eye of storm weekend for this week. That's your answer. Queue for tol barad every chance you get. Don't forget wintergrasp weekly.

that's about it.

I actually counted. I do random BG non-stop (queuing tol barad every chance I get). Including the queue time, I get about 2k honor per 5-6 hrs. This is killing my health lol. Horde wins 30-40% BGs in bloodlust.

Don't forget to do what you like, might delay a burnout on the farming. If that's likely to happen. Since endless eots can be quite dull.

I enjoy the Random BG queue, the bonus honor is nice and the variety keeps things fun and interesting. The only BG I really don't care for is Strand of the Ancients, so overall I've always found it to be a safe bet.

I also tried a Wintergrasp the other day, it wasn't very exciting as it was essentially my team and 6 other people (most of whom were under level 85), but it turned out to be decent honor. I was able to complete four quests at 24 honor each, and another 100 or so honor from victory (we had all the bases capped, so could be bonus honor).

I've previously done two honor grinds.

A little bit on a Hunter, pre BC.
Somewhere around 2-3 hours a day, for a month or so.

And then a lot more intensive with Shammies.
Initially with just the one, who played 6-8 hours of AV daily, for 2 months.

Both of those were single toon grinds.
Have done a little here and there with teams.
But not like 50+ hours a week.

The Ferals want their gear.
And the Priest + DK's will too.

i just have to ask. where were you when everybody danced back and forth on the tol barad bridge -_-. Gotta get at least 1 team maxed out in honor on that.

now it is too late. honor is so hard to get.

Unfortunately, was taking my time leveling.
Not in a rush at all, so missed out on that.

I'm doing chain Eye of the storms. I hardly lose, and find it pretty fun.

I like random BG queue also. About 50% win rate for me and the bonus honour makes it better than anything other than the Call to Arms BGs. Best CtA BGs for me are in order of win rate: EotS, Strand, AV, Isle, AB, WSG. Haven't done enough of the new ones to work out how successful I can be there.

I also try to hit TB as much as possible mainly for the rep and tokens as well as a decent amount of honour if you win. Pity for all of us that missed out on the TB glut. Would be good if it were possible to ake the change back to 360 honour retrospective to erase the imbalance it has caused in other PvP endeavours.

Upcoming weekend is AV call to arms here. Most of my 5x elemental will have the crafted pvp gear. Still unsure if I'll level up my 2nd team next week in AV or if I just honor grind with the shamies.

Just grinded like 50 eots wins (about 5 losses) on the eots weekend and even with 3 base 10-15 min wins and instant queues the honour rate was not that great. Might be better at 85, I sure hope so.

(Was bg lvling because I was getting sick of collection quests).

I'm 26-3 for EotS, and the honor is pretty good, about 150 per win.

Oh sweet, that's 3x better than pre-85. For me at 84, a 3 base win in 10-20 mins was averaged around 50 honour. Including around 30-50 hks. Just to give you an idea of the honour rate.

Tol Barad is pretty good, all but 3-4 of the dailies are easily boxable.

I've been playing horde and the BG queue times have just been horrendous for me. Fifteen minutes has been a *short* wait. Am I the only one having trouble with this, or has everyone already transferred to Alliance already?

So in classic + burning crusade, alliance won the vast majority of games in most battlegrounds; their queue time was long. The horde had short queues but lost most of the games.

In wrath + cataclysm, the horde seem to be winning the vast majority of the games, and have long queue times. As an alliance, my queue time is 2 mins for non-BG specific weekend games and 5-30 seconds for the BG that is featured that weekend.

They really need to go with Red team vs Blue team, horde and alliance on both sides... random starting positions. The next person to join, goes to whichever side has fewer players. A BG starts when there are a minimum of x players who are distributed as evenly as possible across the two sides.

Ive always wished they would have at least one bg with mixed factions. They already have neutral cities where factions can align with the same rep group (scryers, aldor). And now people can have both factions on the same pvp server on one account.

I just finished gearing from Honor today. Nothing left to buy with honor, they really need to offer gems for purchase.

I will always suggest the 40 man BGs. AV or IoC is a place where a boxer won't be able to be focussed on by an entire team.

Not that it isn't fun to have 3 enemy rogues sitting your GY in WSG waiting for you to spawn just to gank you again. Just gets tiresome.

I also find 40 mans are where a boxer can have maximum impact without drawing too much attention to themselves. I can normally hold down IBT or TP by myself with my Protadin and 4 elesham team and that can significantly change up a game, when those towers go down. Also in IoC, if you can bottle up the horde inside their GY in their keep and let your team run bombs, it's pretty much win every time.

If you're running WSG with say, a protadin and 4 resto druids, you can of course significantly alter that game by being flag runner but you will get a LOT more attention from the enemy if things go right and a LOT more abuse from your team if things go wrong. People don't tend to care about someone boxing in a 40 man as they do in a 10 man, for obvious reasons.

For ferals, I'd still suggest AV. You're trying to take objectives and flags at that. 5 stealthies are mighty handy when holding FW RH or SP AS.

If not that, I'd suggest AB for maximum wins
