It's been suggested I might 5 man a Paladin, Shadow Priest, Holy/Disc Priest, Warlock and Mage.

As I already have a high level mage and mid level priest, I can started three together and meet them at their levels.

If I have Shadow Priest, Warlock and Mage - how difficult are macro's going to be? Lets say I had shadow bolt, mind blast and frost/fire bolt firing on one key.... or then maybe I should use mind flay instead - just concerned about the cooldown of mindblast.

Anyone run with a similar config got some tips?

For me, I started playing the class and learn about my cast sequence habits.

I also label how many button presses I need to complete the sequence.

Shadow Priest:
8 = Vamp Em, Vamp T, SWP. MB, MF, MF, MF, Shoot
5 = Vamp Em, SWP. MB, MF, Shoot
4 = SWP. MB, MF, Shoot

etc.

Eventually you will add "pauses" for each keypress to allow for casting time.

Now do the same for your Mage or Warlock.
Each one will have it's own cast sequence, and you will see similar key presses and pauses.
Bind those up and you have 1 button to press in your main, and your dps will do it at the same time.

My only real suggestion is to refrain from overcomplicating things. Apply the Keep It Simple, Stupid rule to everything you do and add more complex features once you get the basics working. There's a ton of into on this topic in other threads but with a 5-class/spec group like this, there's really no way to tell you how to play. You'll have to figure out what works best for your A) play style, B) keyboard/controls/addons layout and C) intended objectives through experimentation.
