Facing Target With Orb of Elune

I was Questing on my new Priest team when i found a quest in Darkshore that gives you Orb of Elune (http://www.wowhead.com/item=44975)
It works Nice! It will make you face your selected hostile target.
I think you can pick up the quest without doing any long chain.

/assist focus

I dont get it. It makes you auto turn to it without actually using any sort of interact with target hotkey?

Auto IWT turning, without the IWT movement.
Great for a caster team, or any caster character in general because you get auto correct facing no matter how the mob has moved or you have.

Similar to the jewelcrafting consumable item.

wow. im horde so i'm pissed but wow - the benefit this item could have is absolutely monumental to a pvp boxer, mainly so for caster teams that need to stay stationary while casting but could even be of some benefit to melee. awesome find.

have you tested it on pvp in other areas of the world?

Sweet, it works. Tested in Stonecore, haven't done any pvp with it.

20 yd range. Doesn't stop your macro if you're out of range though.
Doesn't work while moving.
Breaks follow.
Works on allies.

The last thread with this type of item...
Had several quest rewards, and there was a horde version which alliance could not get.

If you search for the engineering item.
Jade Lens of Focusing (or something similar to that)...
You'll likely find the thread or threads, with the other items.
Not positive that they survived the Cataclysm changes to the zones and all, but probably did.
There were several quest rewards, but the engineering made ones were the only alliance option.

It only breaks follow if the item works. As in, you're within 20yd of your target (can be friendly) and are not moving.

I notice this has a 5 second cooldown. Just wondering about PvP application of this for swarming melee. If you spam your macro does the turning continue to follow the target or can you only turn every 5 seconds?

ah well if you have to be stationary for it to break follow then it won't do what we need - to break a team currently following in motion and begin casting

This is the thing Ualaa mentioned. Neat item but it has charges- works through walls too.

The 5 second cooldown only activates if the item is used on the correct mob for the quest. Anywhere else, the item turns you, but then says 'invalid target' and doesn't invoke the cooldown.

I think the main disadvantage with this is the 20yd range. I've already had it where I expected my guys to turn but they were too far away.

Just tried this in arena, doesn't work - says "This item can't be used in arena" or something. doesn't break macros though.
