Let me see if I got this right.
Blacksmithing, Tailor, JC, Leatherworking:
You need to be level 84 or 85 to get the patters from twilight highlands, so you may just as well stop at 510 if you are not level 84 yet, is that a fair way to say it?
Ya it might be possible to get to 525 but its kinda usless without the twilight vendor access anyway right?
There is no possible way to get these recipies if you are not 84?

No, you have to unphase the vendors and the recipes are soulbound.
The only useful ones are alchemy and JC before 84. AFTER 84 it becomes more profitable to have tailoring/alch

I've left most of my alchemists just sit at 80-81, and leveled them so they can do the daily volatile life> vol air transmute. It was piss cheap to buy the herbs (2k or so) and it nets me (40-5)*15*10 = 4-5k a day + the trransmute levels my alchemy skill as well. Getting the mats to transmute truegold on 15 toons and try to sell them is not something i fancy.

Also, most of the highend patterns need the new soulbound orbs, so unless you are running heroics I believe the patterns are by and large useless :(
So really level 85 is a requirement for a lot fo the high end professions

I have 4 alch at 525 but it is costly indeed, it is easy and fast if you are willing to spend whatever it takes at the AH. Still I have sold TG at about 1100 so some monies are coming in.

TG is nice, depends on the server. Mine it is AT COST almost. So i just make volatile air in bulk and sell them @ like 35g per to this dude who re-sells them.

I have teams at level 75, that have Alchemy to 485.
This is high enough for the Volatile Life transmute.
And the teams are safe at the summoning stone for Vortex Pinnacle (pretty sure that's the one).

I basically have my AH toon, mail the Volatile Life.
Have the toon take them out of the mailbox in Stormwind.
Have the team use the summoning stone to call them up to Vortex Pinnacle.
Distribute the Life, and do the transmutes.
Trade the results of the transmute to the toon.
Who then hearths to Stormwind, mails to my AH toon on the same account.
And then log off the team, and log on the next team to repeat the procedure.

Going from 450 to 490 or so (The min level for the transmute) isn't very expensive. And the xmute stays orange for a long time. (I think some of my alch's have went from 490 to 505 so far, just from making air once a day.) I sit them in Cenarion hold in Siilthus and fly them to the oasis thingy. Not sure if thats closer or further than Tanaris. Most of the time I'm lazy and just take the flypoint to uldum and back.
