Returning (To Hacked Accounts)

Long time, no see :)

My 7 accounts were hacked not too long ago, but I got that mostly squared away with Blizzard.

HOWEVER, for some reason or other, Blizzard was unable to restore ANY of the items across my accounts.

Instead, they thought fair reparations would be 865 gold per Account.

865 gold per ACCOUNT! No gear, no mounts. Nothing.

I'd like to hear of a strategy through which I can make a comeback :p
I want to play again without starting over, but I'm finding it hard to commit when I foresee much initial pain of re-equipping my guys.

I have several teams all around 75. They'd done all the initial WotLK quests for upgrade gears, which I can't do again.

Thinking again, I just need some reassurance that starting from this point won't be as painful as I'm imagining :p

Well for 800 gold per account, you should be able to get some greens from the AH. You could post an add on your realms forum that you are looking for some cheap greens. Instead of selling them you could get them.

Another probably faster options is to run utgarde keep a few times, Maybe get some cheap crafted for the tank first. It's a matter of 2-3 days biting he bullet and you are geared for your level again. I even think you can get away by multiboxing naked while questing, thus pick up where you left. Mounts gone sucks of course, though there are some very cheap ones in the game available.

Nothing wrong with sending a gm an ingame ticket, and saying you want to renew / upgrade your 7 accounts again, but that 800 gold per is not going to cut it for you. The prefer giving you more rather than losing a player with a genuine case (that saved them time and money by giving you the dontwhine package) who pays for 7 accounts and is about to upgrade to cataclysm. If they don't bite, try again. So far I got what i wanted whenever i reopened my ticket (though i had a 'valid' case, it just takes some effort to persuade them). Same goes for calling them again though. I've read stories from boxers who got free authenticators after calling with CS.

800g per account x 7. 5600g is way more than enough to equip a tank and healer and run some instances, the dps can be subpar till you can gear them. but yeah try what zenga said, or ask for a base set of gear, i had that before ( although you would probably get base level 70 as i doubt they have sets for every level) and they gave me some greens with a zero sell price and BOP in the mail. was barely enough to run instances my level with but its better than nude.

Doesn't hurt to ask for more starting gear.
You could post on your servers warcraft forum too, a player might help you out some.



The question is which is less painful for you.
a) Starting at 75th, with seven accounts and little by way of gearing... but seven copies of Cataclysm from a gear reset.
b) Starting at level 1, with a new set of RAF accounts. Possibly on a new server, with a lot of boxers...?



If you want to make some gold, farm the low stuff.
Leathers and Ores are selling for pretty insane prices... seems no one wants to bother farming.

the revamped areas to 60 were quite nice and interesting. Could turn a negative and make it a positive...have an excuse to see the changed vanilla.
