View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Is there a keybind or something to exit out of all the instances?

I'm finally committing to multiboxing in a bigger way, rather than 2 accounts, 5, rather than auto hot key, ISboxer... but I can't figure out the correct way to close out of wow while innerspace is running. Is there a keybind that will exit all the clients, or do I need to just close innerspace first and then shut down the clients?
Asked this in the IRC chatroom but no reply.

I enable Repeater and type /camp.
Then hit the Escape twice, from character select.

/quit will take you to the desktop. =)

I like to camp out, to save macro/action bar changes.
Quitting is faster, but changes aren't saved server-side.

Hmm, learn something every day. I've always enabled repeater and typed /exit.

Explain this one, please. I'm sure I missed something.

Heh, I usually enable repeater and hit esc -> click on exit game but then I get mad because one of them was targeting something and it didn't open the esc menu.
/camp or exit is a much better idea :P

When I make changes to action bars or macros.
And just exit out of the game, without going through the camp out process.
Quite often the changes aren't saved.
Anytime I set up a bunch of macros, I'll /camp out to force a server save, then log back in and do whatever.
If I /camp out and go through the character screen.
They're always saved server side.

I've never had this problem either. Strange.
The only time that happens is if I get disconnected.

mine is like that also, if i close the game by hitting the X it dosen't save macros etc. if i /exit it does.

I've lost macro's via /exit.
But have been in the habit of /camping out, rather than /exiting out, since pre-BC.
So in the current game, that issue could have been fixed for quite some time.

I understand the issue, likely if you settings weren't going to be saved. The /camp wouldn't complete however. This is a state where wow is stuck in garbage collection and cannot respond properly and you loose your settings. The settings aren't magically getting out with /camp
That said, you can get your settings saved by /console reloadui (or /rl alias with ace) without /camp'ing. If you want to have all your precious ui or jamba stuff pushed out to disk. But that will be a crawl if your in that racing state since it will want to wait.
If you look at one of the perf tools like titan or fubar have that list the garbage collection stats of the addons (the old loot link, everyquest, old gearscore, guild recruiter, etc) you can see the memory returned just is nothing when these guys start consuming. My guess is that they are the issue.

will a /reload UI work. Some zone crosses will save also but I have had the problem with add-ons after a crash

Me either. Do you use ISBoxer? Only thing I can think of is either Ulaa's games are crashing on exit (I use /quit exclusively and never had anything not save) or it has something to do with ISBoxer virtualizing the config files.

I mouse reapeater > click the computer > click exit game or log out depending what im doing.
Or the quick and dirty ALT F4 Mash.

As I said, the lost macros were pre-BC.
Was boxing via the two computer method, not using KC/ISB back then.
And I've been in the /camp, Escape, Escape habit for a long time.
