Hey everyone,

I've had a few PMs asking about this fight and if I could Fraps it. Here it is!

The key here is positioning. Yes, you need to be in the corner, but make sure your guys are at a 45 degree angle. This seems to get them most of the upwind buffs. On the attached vid it started out with all downwind, but you'll see the entire last half was all upwind making it rather easy.

I tried turning during the fight so you could see the guys against the wall. Not easy with the vortexes flying around, but you get the idea.

Also, no more mouse clicking! Finally took some time to make a good Blood DK Tank macro. That should make Siskel and Ebert happy here.

Also, when you do have the downwind buff stop firing. Save your mana for upwinds. Just wait it out and you'll have plenty of mana to finish him off.

Lastly, make sure your tank takes a prismatic elixir for the extra 90 resistance. Seems to make a big difference. Yes, it stacks with totem resistance buffs so you get 285 or so for all resitances. Plus, they are really easy to make. By the way, these potions help a lot in other heroics too. Like the first guy in Deadmines.

Good luck everyone.

that was heroic?? Didnt seem like it had enough tornadoes... I swear that place has 100 tornadoes up when you are killing him and his stupid frost breath makes it impossible to see for a few seconds.

Your boomkin was doing great dps. Mine sucks. I was going to replace him with one of my ele shams. What macro are you using for him? Did you take sunfire talent?

I know what you mean. The vid I took looks great, but all the breath, frost and everything else going on killed the quality when I compiled it and uploaded it to youtube. The first part had more vortexes up front. I was on the side in the middle a little. It's like any of the others, do it enough and it starts to become more normal.

For whatever reason being at the front of the platform seems to work for tornados. I've had plenty of run with a bunch right in that spot too. If you look straight down with the camera that seems to help avoid them as well.

I'm hitting about the same dps now for my mage, druid and shaman. Somewhere around 10k if they are all still and doing constant dps. Of course with bloodlust that jumps to 14kish. The first part of the fight was mostly downwind so the dps was averaged and they still were all close to 9kish. All depends on crits of course, but they are pretty close in dps at this point.

Here is the main dps macro I am using for my druid atm. Nothing fancy, and definitely no sunfire. It screws everything up. I have typhoon, starfall on other macros, but this is the main one I use for one target dps. Seems to get me the most bang for the buck.

#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=target/combat Insect Swarm, Moonfire,Wrath,Wrath,Wrath,Wrath,Wrath,Wrath
/cast starsurge
/use 13
/use 14

I haven't played my boomkin in awhile, but that makes me LOL that you can ignore the balance mechanic of a balance druid and do great dps. Class design it's working as intended.
