think there was a thread on this but can not find it for the life of me. I have sent a tick to blizzard but all the said was to use the repair.exe. when i log in or zone. one or more chars seems to lock up on the loading screen then onces finely zoning in lags really badly or just goes LD. it even dose its on solo play from time to time. i have tried deleting the add on folder and the wtf even the cache fold and still dose it.. even did a bran new install and still dose it. thought someone here might have an idea to try.

I'm not sure how your network is set up, but I had a similar problem. I had to set my router to 802.11g, where it was previously 802.11g/n. It solved my disconnect problem so it's worth taking a look at.

From what I've read, deleting the cache if you have excessive login times can fix that. Not sure about dc's / freezes. However if I log out, I always go to a calm spot in orgrimmar, usually inside a building. Makes my wow boot up way faster than in the middle of a crowded place.

Also make sure you are not running out of memory.

When I upgraded from:
Q6600
EVGA Motherboard
4870 X2 video
8GB, 800 DDR2
150GB, 10k rpm Raptor
To:
i7 920
Asus P6T Motherboard
4870 X2 Video
12GB, 1600 DDR3
150 GB, 10k rpm Raptor
One or two of my slave windows would totally freeze, for no apparent reason.
It wouldn't happen often, but would occasionally, which was annoying.
I believe Owltoid had the same issue, at the same time.
He had the same processor, motherboard and video card, nothing else particularly in common.
Over time, it became a bit more annoying.
So I borrowed parts from my older system.
And on downgrading the video card to a GTX 275, the issue went away.
A friend has been "borrowing" the old system, for about a year now, while he saves up for an upgrade.
The video card works fine, with the old motherboard, processor and ram.
But it didn't like the i7 920 and Asus P6T, or perhaps the new ram..?
Not sure if that helps at all.

turn out to be setting on my network card. think it had to with flow control but not sure sense changed more than one setting and it stopped lol but any way can play with out going LD all the time,
pity you don't remember what you did to fix it. I'm having the same problem and am almost ready to reinstall windows to see if that fixes it :(

To bypass this, I have to reboot my modem/router. Power cycle both. I haven't found any other fix yet.
There are alot of similar goodies in this sticky thread. I thought I saw a section in that threat about wireless problems
