Maybe old news, but I just found that you can /target lightwell and then IWT from a distance (20 yards?). This will be very useful for those of us with priest healers.

You really want to be close to the light well for this. Perhaps totem drop close. Definitely don't want to lolziwtspam the light well, just a single tap ... as when that thing disappears off your guys go likely straight for the boss for /hugs.

At times I have been able to iwt with my hunter pet, but not any of the warlock pets. My hope was to figure out such a thing for a 'all non tanks run to the safe spot' that the hunter pet would be setup to go to during an encounter (like the warlock teleport trick). But its just not reliable.

You basically just summarized the problems that I ran into last night. Definitely a one shot deal.

One thing that I'm going to try though is to set it far off to the side and use it as a rally point when everyone gets scattered but I don't want them to rally to the tank.

But your right, its value could be high if its nuances could be overcome. The ability to use it when incapacitated and such is nice, but frankly I have just healed that stuff conventionally. Good luck!
