Level 85 Two Step DPS Macros Updated

Well I updated a few of my old level 80 Two Step DPS Macros finally. It boosted my dps some. I am sure they need further tweaking but they are better for 5 mans than they were. Here is what I have so far. Hope this helps and goodluck.


Shaman Elemental DPS

Step One Macro (make a second macro and replace the chain lightning if you want to use cc)

I don't see Unleash Weapon (lvl 81 spell) in your Shaman macro...
Shouldn't it be in there somewhere if it's for lvl 85?

I put it in the macro at one point and the shaman did less dps by over 1000 so I left it out. I also have a step one shaman macro without chain lighting for when I plan on using CC. I have no idea why it was less dps. All I can think is global cooldown. Without it my shaman was doing around 10-11k on dummy and with it 8-9k.

Unleash elements is very situational... Even when I play a single toon I barely use it. It's pretty rare after the first Lavaburst that you have Unleash Elements and Lava Burst up at the sametime.

The real problem is that the GCD that it takes isn't justified by the dmg output of the ability. The small amount of damage that it does + the 30% is still less than like a single lightning bolt. I find Unleash Elements best used in pvp, enh / resto rotations.

Pint... My only complaint about your shaman macros. I guess it's personal preferance , but with the amount of CCing that I'm doing in heroics auto chain lightning breaking CC's drives me nuts. Most the time to resolve this obviously just pull the mobs away from the hexes.

The real issue to chain lightning in your rotation like that mana becomes an issue on the longer fights.

Yeah I have two macros. One with the chain lightning and one without. I run with the one without and will use the one with chain once I have better gear and no longer need to cc.

I have the mana efficient rotation almost like your button 1 then just put /cast lavaburst at the bottom, and then have a seperate button for just CL so I can CL on demand.

Thanks for this post. Been struggling to improve my Ele shaman dps but with this macro now hes in line with my mage and warlock. In addition the mage is not getting 00m all the time and still maintaining similar dps with my previous macro. All the dps on my team is now pulling off 7k~8k dmg on normal, and I bet with some more gear I can manage to increase even further... (most of them are on 330~333 gear avg).

Now if I can find a suitable CCing macro without breaking every so often... (yes I have read the elemental bind thread and I am using exactly that, but still sometimes it fails miserably for some reason so trying to improve a bit).
