First, I want to thank all of you who have led the way in dual boxing. You have helped several of us "noobs" and cut our learning curves drastically. I applaud you and your efforts and wish I could buy you all steak dinners and sit around the table afterwards and hear your stories.

Secondly, I want to ask a simple favor: I need to ask a question and I need some precursors from the group in the forums. 1. If after reading my entire question you find that I am unclear in something, please do not hesitate in asking me to clarify as I will be only glad to do so. 2. I ask for honest, positive answers and that all "measuring" contestants remain silent ( I apologize to you guys who have "huge" ones, but mine is extremely small so engaging in a measuring contest would be pointless), i.e. I am looking more for "kenosis, here's the answer to your question", rather than "Well, I have a 1,000 Googlehertz processor with 9 terabytes of ram and a 9 million FSB and I.......(I think you get the picture even though I have vastly exaggerated it).

With that said: Question: I have a level 70 MM Hunter on one account and 10 toons on another account. I have been power leveling (what I now understand to be dual boxing) them so that they are all now lvl 50-56. Basically, I have been running the toons around and getting quests, then "plowing" my way to the quest objective and completing it, turning it in...rinse/repeat. What I am trying to determine: :?: Is there a written, conscise, verified guide on how to dual box this way. :?: Here are some things I know: 1. Getting red level quests on my lowbie and having the highbie do them yields more quest xp (at the rate the hunter kills, grouping ungrouping/tapping is of no real value. He kills most everything <60 before they even get a chance to react). 2. I only want to do one acccount at a time and have no interest in buying more accounts. 3. Basically having my lowbie on follow (with maybe an occassional heal/buff would be nice) seems to work. 4. as I am getting into lvl 60+, the lowbie will have to take a more interactive part in the questing (hence keyclone/AHK). 5. so far with maybe a druid/pally as a secondary choice, the hunter seems to be the best dual boxing toon for "THIS" particular type of power leveling.

If anyone has any suggestions or real guides, I would appreciate your reply...Again thank you and all the best to you in life.

Kenosis - lvl 70 SP, Bronzebeard.

What you're doing is basically boosting the lowbie through quests - which is what many do with mages/paladins to boost lowbies through instances for xp. I don't believe there is a specific 'guide' for doing the quest boosting - I use Jame's Alliance Guide for following quest order while playing as a group. There are a few posts here about instance boosting though. I'm not sure how efficient quest boosting is compared to just plowing through instances since I haven't tried it much.

Since you seem to like boosting through quests - just use the free guides at wow-pro.com like Jame's.. and that'll keep you entertained and efficient with xp.

I think you may be sort of mixing terminology. What you're doing is powerleveling, and while multiboxing is very condusive to powerleveling, our form of multiboxing usually is for a purpose once each character hits 70...some PvE with all 5 toons, some PvP, etc. It sounds like you want a quick way to PL to 70, and if you had that you'd be rich. =)

Read about power levelling with a Hunter pet.

Get your lowbie grouped with anyone other than your Hunter. It could be an idle friend in Strath, as long as your lowie is grouped.

Have your lowbie tag a mob wihin his level or 2.

hit your Hunter's macro, with Attack on Assist to OFF.
/follow Lowbie
/assist Lowbie
/petattack

When you pet kills the tagged mob, your lowbie gets FULL exp as if he soloed the mob.
