Hi there,

Just to say hello, and that after approx. 2 years of umming and erring, thanks to this site, I'm going to take the plunge and try multi-boxing. I have a pretty cool machine already, but I am tempted to use the opportunity to build a new one from scratch - so I'll be reading up on what people recommend here. :-)

A quick question some may be able to answer; how do I break it to my partner? She won't gripe about a new computer, she's used to that. ;-) But three more accounts? (I already have two.)

Also, I understand that there is a European guild, are they still operating and if so, taking new recruits?

Best wishes!
Cog.

Hey Hey Hey Welcome to the forums and Dual-Boxing

When you say your Partner you mean wife or girlfriend?

If its wife, just explain it to her that your wanting to build another computer and it will not cost alot. Most women think it will cost like over 1500. 3 accounts again, explain it to her. Communication is the key. Or just do it without out her knowing.

If its your girlfriend... Then say whatever. Put your foot down. Say this is what you like to do. Be in control.

Of course this is how I would do it. I have a g/f and I put my foot down, she can bitch all day long and I can care less because this is what I like to do. So I tell her whats up. She does not bug me much anymore.

Good Luck man.

another option is to tell her that she gets to play on one of the accounts for free =P.

when i told my girl that i was gonna start multiboxing and that i'd need her account info so i could resub on my credit card, the first thing she asked was "does that mean i can log on my hunter again ^.^"

(background story, she's a poor college student and i'm recently graduated so where i have a little extra cash each month to support this increasingly expensive habit, she was wanting to save money to buy more ramen, thus cancelling her account till next summer :P )

What the hell is: Sup thou' ....????

Benvolio: Good morrow, Cousin.
Romeo: Sup thou'
Benvolio: Art thou mad?
Tybalt: Romeo, the love I bear thee can afford no better term than this - thou art a villian.
Romeo: Hold thy tongue 'fore I bust a cap in thine ass'

another option!!!

let her play one of the chars. I run pally+ 3x mages on one comp and the priest on another comp. if my GF is home and wanna play wow she can just jumb in and play along, if not i do the healing alone.

Only problem is she still wanna go out for a walk/movie/dinner sometimes =)

When you say your Partner you mean wife or girlfriend? Finacée. Half-way between both. ;-)

Only problem is she still wanna go out for a walk/movie/dinner sometimes =) It's a good idea, but I was figuring to quad or five box, and have either the fifth or swappable slot for her in groups. Basically she sucks hard at anything other than priest (but actually makes an awesome priest,) so it could work with your suggestion - and save a bit of money too.

We have a life/lives outside of WoW, I'd recommend watching Sweeny Todd (even though I'm not into musicals much.) On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend going for dinner at our local Chinese restaurant, it's awful. :-)
