Topic says it.

I've never really used any ground based targeting spells. Not even sure what the terminology is for doing this or searching for tips. I know ISBoxer has repeater regions which i use for healing. Would I set up something similar?

I'm currently wanting to get set up for healing rain as well as earthquake for my Shaman
Priest power word barrier spell seems a handy one as well.

Thanks for any tips/links etc.

If you're already using IS Boxer, what you want is the Send Next Click option.
You can enable or disable the click in the local window with KVM mode.

I've made a few Action Target Groups for AoE.
AoE_4, AoE_5, AoE_ShA.

On the relevant mapped keys, I have checked Send Next Click with an ATG as the target.

Anyone who I want to Ground AoE on a "4", is a member of the AoE_4 ATG.
Anyone who I want to Ground AoE on a "5", is a member of the Aoe_5 ATG.
Just add toons to the relevant Action Target Group, and away we go.

Thanks!

With the steps given (by Ualaa and Ualaa in the link ) I was able to set this up quite easily. In fact I feel silly for not doing this earlier. Though guess I can only learn so many new things at a time.

Only issue I have.

All works fine but I seem to be in a state after I use my ground spell (healing rain) where all mouse events are going to all windows. Activate Repeat shows as off, but if I toggle on/off then I get back to the normal mode of mouse events not going through.

To be more specific , I created a ground action group (my two shaman)
Then I'm using one of the preset dps keys (5).
I then set it to send next click to the ground group.

Any thoughts into why I am sending all mouse events to my slaves from this point on?

Could be that you are turning all windows on and then only turning main windows off. I do it when I swap windows but I think it can be done with a key stroke.

I guess something like that must be happening but unsure what I did to make it happen or how to get it to stop.

It is odd though.

Have my 2 shaman in an action group.
Use an existing dps key that I wasn't using (5).
check the send next click box in the dps key stuff.

Results:
Click 5 key. Get the green target on my 2 shaman and mouse cursors are visible on just the shamans window.
Left click to start cast.
Spell starts casting and now I have cursors in all 4 slaves and all clicks/mouse events are going through the window.
Mouse repeater shows inactive.
If I toggle it on (no change) and then off the mouse events stop.

Only thing I can think of is the click I use to target the spell and start the cast is somehow toggle the mode? I'm most confused.

I can't answer that without seeing your config. For instructions on how to show it safely (doing it correctly will automatically censor account names), see http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13

I'll do that when I get home tonight.

I really haven't done much to my settings after using the wizard/wow setup. Added a few more dps keys, the two step toggle and some movement keys.

Was funny , I got a few clues things weren't quite right when I was trying it out, while buffing up next to some trash clicked on a hot key on my pali and all the sudden an earth elemental was off attacking the mobs, it was the nasty trash in Stone core, needless to say that fight didn't go well heh. I slapped my shaman for wiping us, which made me feel better at any rate :).

Here is the link for my config file.

Think I found at least part of what is going on.

My mouse, naga , seems to be a bit messed up , never used the grid much but when I hit 2 , I get 2and 5 pressed and when I hit 5 get 25 as well, so probably a messed up contact.

not sure why this is messing things up, but when I use my keyboard 5 or remap a different grid key on my mouse it seems to work correctly.

First of all, you've got multiple keys in your config that are multiple-bound by default. "DPS 2" and "Ctrl-2" are both hotkeyed to 2, both have Send Next Click enabled and assist and send 2. "DPS 3" and "2 Step" are both hotkeyed to 3.

When you double-bind like this, you should be disabling one of them by default. I see you have a toggle for DPS 3 and 2 Step, but until you hit that toggle they're both active. Your toggle seems to show that you want DPS 3 off until you hit the toggle. To do this, go to the Advanced settings for DPS 3 and check the box at the bottom that says "Do not load this Mapped Key when the Key Map is loaded". This will turn this
Mapped Key off by default, until you toggle it on via Mapped Key State Action (which you've got).

Lastly, your bug with mouse repeat staying on appears to be related to multiple binds activating Send Next Click simultaneously. It's supposed to revert to the previous Target after doing the Send Next Click, and it sounds like it's not properly ignoring the other Send Next Click in doing so. So first of all, make sure that only one of "Ctrl-2" and "DPS 2" is hotkeyed to 2 by default (you can use the Advanced tab or you can just delete "Ctrl-2" since it's identical to "DPS 2"), and then make sure your Naga isn't pressing 2 keys at the same time that both activate Send Next Click (DPS 2, DPS 5, and Ctrl-2).

Thanks so much Lax, you rock!

I'll go through and clean things up tonight.

I was more or less trying to mimic the 2 step functionality outlined in the Macro thread. May have messed it up. What it was suppose to do is when not activated hitting 3 should just send 3 (which is my main dps key). When it is on, which it pretty much always is, it was suppose to send both 3 and 2 given a chance then for 2 to take effect which is the key for all the proc based skills.

Looks like I may have messed it up some (though it did seem to work alright so didn't review it).

My mouse is definitely messed up, looks like the 2/5 key are locked together, will pop it apart and see if it is easily fixable. So when I was hitting five was also send 2 which seems to have some issues in the setup, further messing things up.

Again,

Thanks for your time, and let me take this time to say I love the innerspace/ISBoxer solution !
