All 4 Cat Instances down on Norm.

Hey everyone,

Been away a long time. Started playing a month or so ago to get back into it. A lot has changed!

Anyway, just finished Stonecore which completes the 4 starter instances for this team. Instances cleared in Cat are BC, VP, ToT and SC. I didn't fraps these runs as they were pretty new to me, but I will in the next couple of days.

Characters were 82 for the first three dungeons and all are now 83, which is what I was when I cleared Stonecore. Just using quest gear, some crafted and some dungeon blues.

There are some new mechanics, but nothing too major on normal. If anyone needs any help or wants adivice on a particular boss let me know. I'll try to answer as quickly as I can.

Heroic is going to be a nightmare for the last boss in Stonecore. Ouch.

Were you all melee? I am finding it really hard in Stonecore on my paladin 4x Shaman team.

Why is VP harder?
VP is the only instance I can steamroll atm. I don't even break a sweat.

Vortex seemed really easy to me on normal at level 82. Last boss in Stonecore seems to be the toughest. Rest of them weren't too bad.

Anyway, different for everyone I guess. I'll know better once I get to 85 and get some better gear.

How are you doing last boss? I've had zero problems with the whole instance, except for the last boss. Either the group is thrown around, or one toon is gripped and slammed into a vortex, or the adds swarm my team.

How long are you spending on the fight? Where do you setup to pull? Do you try to position the blue vortex things to take out adds?

Any help would be awesome. I'm stuck on the last boss, running a mixed team with no melee.

You know you can avoid the root on the last boss entirely by jumping like you do quake in stonecore and trivialize the major heroic added ability?

I am struggling with this one too, i have got her down once but I would not call it farmable for me. And of course it is all i get in the random dungeon finder now too..lol

Tips from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I try and get my whole team (not always my tank) behind the gravity wells once the adds start running in. normally i make it through the first batch of adds, then the gravity wells disappear, my healer grabs aggro or i cant dps down the rest of the adds fast enough.

Well i got her down on my 1st try this time around. Maybe it's just a learning curve to get over, but i still feel like i have to pull out every trick in the bag to finish the instance. I think i used lay on hands, fire elemental (who goes for the boss instead of the adds it seems), hand of protection, Ice block, and bloodlust. I am sure i used a few more but i cant exactly recall, the fight is still very hectic for me.
