View Full Version : Bliz just nerfed guild exp gain rate to 1/4
Quests used to contribute 100% to guild exp, say 20k exp quest (not counting hierlooms) used to give 20k now as of this morning's restart it's only 5k or 1/4th of a quest.
If you think about it, it's 24 million quest exp a day which is a lot for a small guild.
Keep in mind it's gonna take you 133 days, so 24mil quest exp x133 days, for a 5 man team to work on, i don't think there's even that much quest exp in the game.
F'ing bliz.

You hit the weekly cap for guild exp pretty quickly anyways (I did within a few hours of questing) so i'm not sure how big of an impact it will make.
It's not nice, but I don't think its a big issue.

Uh I don't think you know what you're talking about.
The weekly cap is your personal faction gain vs your guild.
The daily guild exp advancement cap is something else.

Well, to me, the most important bonus are, fortunately, among the first one to come : +10% experience. Vanity pets and raid buffs are secondary.
However, I don't understand this move from Blizzard. Before yesterday, a big guild would hit the daily cap pretty fast, thus balancing the difference with small guilds. This was the intent that Blizzard clearly expressed. Now even a quite big guild is not probably going to reach the daily limit. It sounds like they're now only trying to balance "very big guilds" vs "really big guilds".
or, they just want people to grind longer.

Time will tell if this xpack is Blizzard's Trials of Atlantis. I'm beginning to wonder.
