Cleared with 1 pally + 4 shamans

Strategies used:

Temple Guardian Anhuur
Started at the entrance of the room, make sure to spread out for the fire.
- Dispell the magic debuff he casts every now and then.
- DPS until he puts his shield up, make sure the tank has 100% HP at that time.
- As soon as he pops his shield run/jump down with your tank and pull the 2 levers
- Run back up, take your other characters and interrupt the channel. You can use cooldowns like Divine Guardian to reduce the AOE damage on your team. Also don't forget to kill any leftover snakes.
- Repeat this for the second shield.

Earthrager Ptah
Spread out for the earth spikes. If you can avoid them do it but they don't hurt that much. Don't let your DPS stand in front of him though, he cleaves!
- DPS him until he dissapears and spawns a set of adds.
- Kill the adds and he will come back
- Repeat this if needed

Anraphet
Use DPS cooldowns for this boss if you have, you want this one down fast.
- Dispell the nemesis strike on the tank whenever he uses it.
- Run your characters out of the channeled alpha beams
- During his AOE keep your group up.
Other than that it's just a fast DPS fight.

Isiset
Turn away at the supernova
- She will split twice during the fight. Each time you'll kill one of her splits.
- She deals a fair amount of AOE damage throughout the fight. It's quite healable though.

Ammunae
Keep your DPS at ranged for this fight.
- Kill the seeds as soon as they pop-up. That's basicly it

Setesh
This boss gave me some trouble:
- The boss itself is untankable , he will just run around and spawn portals / use spells.
- I used Earth elementals to tank most of the mobs that came out of the portals.
- After each portal he will shoot a shadow beam at a random character. Run out of it.
- After the second portal he will cast Chaos Rain, all get out of melee range ASP (even the tank!)
- Other than that I just nuked him down.

Rajh
- Interrupt the Sun Orb
- Don't stand in fire
- Bunch up during his aoe and heal through. Pop Hero at this time if you have

Wow, I'm pretty surprised how easy that zone was! Thanks for the strats!

Thanks for the tip. The only bosses that gave me some issue were Temple Guardian Anhuur and Setesh. Anhuur was just a matter of positioning and to be more careful with the fire. Setesh was just burn bloodlust just when he starts walking to make the first portal and he should go down by the time he starts going toward the 2nd. DPS wise it was around 5k~7k with my clones on item level ~329.

Awesome tips, thanks so much. I tried the first boss like 10 times and I couldn't do it, so I just gave up. I'm try again using your strats!

Any ideas on activating the levers on heroic?

Struggling with the first boss.

I've read the strats but seems there is always something that gets me.

First part of the fight goes without a hitch, but then the first shield comes.

So would make sure at full health, run down stairs, throw switch, run to next throw switch, but snakes seem to really be hurting me. Run up stairs grab team and run to mob and interupt, but so many snakes at this point...and with all the aoe dmg...things don't go well.

So then I tried,

I run my guys towards him , park them, and jump down with the tank, do the first switch, but by the time i get to the second switch so many snakes on me, I usally have to blow a cool down as my health is dropping so fast.

Then I head up the stairs, at this point I'm not clear what to do, should I try and interupt the boss before the tanks gets back up?, this gets rid of the aoe but then the named will be loose. Or do I wait till tank is back up and then do it. I can get interupt off a bit faster this way.

Should I kill the snakes before releasing the named?

It seems by the time I get the named interrupted (now I'm on the center platform) Everyone has taken so much dmg, I can't recover and usually die before the next shield.

I tried taking everyone down to the switches, but that didnt' seem to help all that much.

I guess one thing I could try is take the team in range of the interrupt, leave them there, run the tank down, throw the switches, interrupt , then jump down with team and kill snakes...

My team is pali, disc priest , 2x shaman , mage. gear score is around 324.

any thoughts , tips?

I keep my team at the entrance of the room where the first 2 mobs are that you kill before the boss. My team just strafes out of the "fire" when they need to.

For the lever phase, i make sure i am at full health then throw a PW:S and renew on. I use Word of Glory to keep healed up if i need on my tank. I also used some speed potions/ boot enchants/ and/or the talents from the ret tree that give run speed increase while i was learning the mechanics to pull the levers faster. After i get back up to my team at the entrance to the room, I AoE the rest of the snakes down then interrupt the boss with only my tank. Then I run back to my team for the rest of the fight.

With a Disc priest i would suggest getting shields up on all your team at the beginning of the phase to reduce the damage they take. I just spam a few prayer of healing and that usually keeps my guys up. I am running a holy priest so i don't know it that may help any or not. I also used some speed potions/ boot enchants/ and the talents from the ret tree that give run speed increase while i was learning the mechanics to pull the levers faster.

I'm using this approach, think you just need to fine tune it a bit. As your pally tank jump down, keep using HoR on the snakes as you doing the switches, and you should be able to get 2 fully charged WoG as well doing decent dmg on the snakes. Also don't be afraid to use your defensive CDs.

As you run up the stairs, you can either drag the snakes to the boss and aoe them down, or leave the boss uninterrupted and finish off the snakes 1st. The snakes don't have much hp, only takes a couple round of aoe to take them down, eg. magma totem+chain lightning+thunderstorm can probably finish them off.

This boss is the hardest in HoO for multiboxers, I'm dreading the Heroic version now that my team is almost ready for H.

Nah, the first boss is actually really easy.
I wiped about 7 times on him, then I changed one thing and now I storm through him. I don't even find him hard now and faceroll him.

The secret?

Add the debuff/curse to Healbot so that you know to instantly cleanse when it is cast. I insta remove the Righteous Beckoning (or whatever it is called) and don't have any problems. For movement, the second I see anything blue. I press forward for two seconds. Then dps again. I tank him from the beginning of the ledge.

Thanks for the tips.

Got it down on second try this morning.

I even noticed the front page had a movie on the zone hehe, so watched that and it helped as well. (How I missed that I'm not sure).

The healbot tip was great, kept me from having to scan text for curse thingy.

Also the tip on fighting /healing with pali as I ran between switches helped, a bit more life so not as risky.

Also staying put with my team at entrance seemed to be easier as well.

Thanks again all!

Just figured out a new way to do the 1st boss so you only have to do the switch once instead of twice, it works really well in normal, not sure about heroic yet, 2 of my guys still only at ilvl 327.

Proceed as you normally would up to the first set of switches, after that Do Not interrupt his channeling Hymn, just continue dps and heal through the aoe dmg, pop bloodlust/heroism if you got it and all stack on boss for easier group heal. The boss basically becomes a target dummy with a stacking aoe. With bloodlust, my team finishes the fight with almost full hp,

Just looking at the numbers, might not be suitable for heroic due to his much large hp, either the aoe dmg becomes too high towards the end or his channeling end before he's down. I think the channeling is 3min from when he pops the shield. But if anyone want to try this on heroic, please post your result.

Holy crap!
That made it SO much easier on normal.
Thanks for the tip.

I don't think this will work on heroic it's a LOT of dmg really fast.
At 9-10 stacks it starts to hurt, but it's worth a try.

omg you beat this guy on heroic? I find even with guildies this can be tough (everyone solo). That AoE damage when its stacked up is ridiculous. I have beaten it on normal and I found the easiest for me (caster group) was spread out and just heal through the blue shit on ground.
