Hi fellow multiboxers
Ive been searching the internett for some days now trying to find a multi hex macro for BGs, arenas and instances.
Is there any addon or any way I can assign hex targets for my shaman team?
Lets say I get ambushed by Hogger and 3 friends. Is it possible to assign Toon, B,C and D to hex Hogger`s three friends in a quick way? I cant TAB through em, since that will only make my toons target the same target.
And to make things even more complicated, I use focus for my slaves. So what my main is targeting, my toons are aswell.
If there was an addon like proximo or Gladius where I can use a macro on each toon like:
Toon B
/target Gladiusspot 1
/cast hex
Toon C
/target Gladiusspot 2
/cast hex
Toon D
/target Gladiusspot 3
/cast hex
Only problem here is that proximo and Gladius only works inside the arena, and not outside in PvE or BGs :/
Ty on advance :)

One way I am thinking of using CC in dungeons will be
/Target tank
/cast [target=targettarget] Hex
What this will do is cast the hex on whatever the tanks current target is, all you would need is this macro assigned to a different key and keybind for the toons you want to use CC on.
My other dungeon CC thought is, using ISBoxer and a click region I can assign all my toons a target to CC flipping between each of their windows and then click one button to iniatiate their CC spell and so all mobs would be CC similtaneously. This obviously will not work if you are running toons across multiple machines :)

Im a multiboxer, allways looking for a way to tweak my performace in arenas, BGs and PvE.
Gladius as an addon scripted to only work in arenas. And with that arena frame that pops up, I can make macros for my toon to cast interrupts and CCs. And what am asking is:
What if you had a window like Gladius, where you can use a modifier key like shift + leftmouseclick to add certain mobs into a window, and each mob spot in this frame had a number.
And then you make a macro for each toon:
Toon A
/target mobwindow 1
/cast Hex
Toon B
/target mobwindow 2
/cast Hex
Toon C
/target mobwindow 3
/cast Hex
Toon D
target mobwindow 4
/cast Hex
CCTool
____________
Mob 1
cast bar:
Mob 2
cast bar:
Mob 3
cast bar:
Mob 4
cast bar:
Mob 5
cast bar:
___________
So when pressing my keybinding, lets say this is set to "T", all my shamans target each their target, and casts Hex. A window of what type off CC is on the mobs frame and the CD on the CC is there aswell. And the mobs frame will start flashing 5 seconds before the CC runs out. Is it possible to make this kind of addon? and how long would it take to do so?

The reason Gladius works for arena is because every toon in arena has a different ID. It's been asked about on the official forums a few times. Unfortunatly, it was the old forums, so the only way to see the discussion is through cache.

Gladius does it because arena participants have a unitID. Arbitrary units around you don't have a unitID. If something doesn't have a unitID reference it cannot be targeted by an addon - if it acquires a unitID reference after already being in combat it cannot be targeted by an addon either, since the client locks down many features while in combat.

Allrighty, guess I`ll have to use some mouseover macros and do it the hard way. Thanks for your quick reply :)
how about having
/tar a
/tar b
/tar c
...
/cast hex
in your macro?
split the letters to share the amount across your hexxers, and hope not too many people have the same first letter for their name :-)

One way I am thinking of using CC in dungeons will be
/Target tank
/cast [target=targettarget] Hex
How bout
/assist tank
anyway the way I do it is:
/assist tank on all
/cast hex toon one
/targetenemy
/cast hex toon four
/targetenemy
/targetenemy
/cast hex toon two
/targetenemy 1
/cast hex toon three
/targetenemy 1
/targetenemy 1
/cast hex toon five
You are almost sure to get 3 and maybe 5 different targets depending on distance to each and other factors.

^^ that won't work in pve tho, pvp targets only, and no pets or totems. It's as you said unreliable, but the best way that I have found. Ualaa posted a cyclone version of multple CCs.
Or maybe it does... the one I use it /targetenemyplayer

I go similar to Sam.
A:
/Targetenemyplayer
/cast Hex
B:
/Targetenemyplayer
/Targetenemyplayer
/cast Hex
C:
/Targetenemyplayer
/Targetenemyplayer
/Targetenemyplayer
/cast Hex
D:
/Targetenemyplayer
/Targetenemyplayer
/Targetenemyplayer
/Targetenemyplayer
/Cast Hex
Etc.
/Targetenemy - this will target a hostile target, the same as pressing Tab.
/Targetenemyplayer - this is similar to the above, except you cannot get pets, totems etc, only players.
Adding the 1 to the end reverses the order, so it is like Tabbing through until you get the last possible target without resetting to one of the first ones.
These depend on facing, Tab won't cycle through enemies behind you.
