Hey all. I previously dual boxed a long time ago... I decided (like many others) to try out 5 boxing since I now have the money and set-up that can handle it, and with all the deals going on, why not!

My quesiton:

Did I make a mistake by putting all 5 accounts under my battle.net ID? I completely forgot about RAF... and curious if there was a way to take advantage from the 5 accounts I've purchased.

Thanks!

Nope no mistake, the only worry is that you've linked the accounts up correctly (RAF wise). I think most if not all of the boxers here have multiple accounts under one battle.net!

I got all my 5 accounts under same bnet account, But im sure i did it another way, then manye others.
1main account > RaF 3accounts
1 of thoses, RaF 2 others..

An existing account refers a new one.
That's always the process.

The existing account, might be brand new but it is configured and then sends an invite to the new account.

When two accounts, which are RAF linked:
a) Group together.
b) Are within a certain proximity to each other.
c) Are within +/- four levels of each other.
d) Kill mobs or complete quests which are not grey.
e) Are both level 59 or lower.
They get 300% experience, instead of 100%.

On a new server, with no characters, most would chain their RAF like this:
A > B > C > D > E

If you happen to have existing characters and decide to move to another server.
You could transfer your best tank, with a lot of gold to the new server and use them for boosting.
In this case, probably go like this:
A > B > C
A > D > E

Lots of options really.
Also note, even though A in the preceding example is an 80th.
B/C meet all the requirements for RAF (as does D/E) so they get triple, even though A/B and A/D do not meet the requirements....

i'd imagine Ualaa is one of those people the government hires for "think tank" stuff, cause you seem to know everything about everything, well wow related anyways, maybe bliz should hire you :P

Bah... I guess I messed up then. I stupidly couldn't figure it out and assumed I couldn't send the RaF to the same email address.

Accounts A & B - I had the Vanilla + BC on disc already from years ago.

I got the $5+$5+$10 for C+D+E but didn't do RaF.

Probably better off since I get really crazy when toons are not in level sync... but probably really really stupid long term with leveling alts, etc.

Bleh.

I doubt I can contact Blizzard and explain that my accounts should be RaF?

Definitely call billing.
You're basically at the start of what would be RAF.
They should help you out.
Just be polite.

Quite a few people have posted that billing changed the accounts for them.
So the RAF worked properly.
Doesn't hurt to ask.

i messed up my 5th account for RAF, I made a post in customer service on the official wow forums and a moderator/blizz employee looked into it for me and changed everything so I can get raf working.

I tried calling billing but got the automated response of " please call back at a later time, as all of our representatives are busy". This was a few days after the 4.03a patch (shattering)

Hey guys, just wanted to update you.

After contacting Blizzard, they were kind enough to set me up with the RAF benefits.

Being Polite goes a long way, it took a few days of email exchanges, but yay!

I did end up having to go through and properly send emails to myself for RaF. Now that I did it, I understand that you can just use your own email account over and over. Once I did that, It was as simple as telling them which accounts to refer. I ended up with...

A refers C & D
B refers E

because A & B were older than 30 day accounts.
