Hey all!
It looks like my post count is not high enough to post where it belongs, so I'm putting it here.
Maybe someone can move it if it suits them.

Those of you hanging out in #dual-boxing probably have heard my woes of opening 5 accounts.
Evidently a lot of people have had similar issues, here is what I've learned.

How do you know what the problem is?
In their online store, the message will only be "An error has occurred" with no details.
If it mentions something specific, like the transaction failed, that's your fault - check your numbers.
Otherwise, keep reading.

There is most likely a limit on new accounts per IP address (over time).
To check your IP address click here (http://www.whatismyip.com/), or use a command-line if you prefer.
Try changing your IP address, and typically this means changing more than just rebooting your router.

Using the same credit card, I went from one house to another and using the same card it worked.
Rebooting my router (even though I got a different IP) was evidently too similar.

There is most likely a limit on new accounts per card number (over time).
Some folks have mentioned this, especially 10-boxers.
This limit may even apply to the card holder and not the card number, I'm not sure.

After 4 accounts, I found I could not open a 5th, so I had a friend fill it out and it worked.
This may also have been the below issue:

There is at least one case of a bank limiting the card after multiple transactions.
I called my credit card holder (Visa) and as it turns out, they blocked Blizzard Entertainment!
After 5 rapid transactions to Lavish Software (makers of ISBoxer) and Blizzard Entertainment my card went into "fraud mode."

The trick here is that they didn't tell me anything until I specifically asked if there were any fraud alerts on my card.
So ask! Also verify with them your address. Most companies won't tell you your address, but you can ask if you got it right.
I have an apartment number and apparently if I fill it out wrong, my card can be declined.

I hope this helps people. Wisdom/addendums appreciated!

are you trying to buy more accounts or play them. The buying limit has been in place for a while, not hard to deal with. Logging on can be many things, if you can always log on with one but not more takes time to sort out.

Purchasing them.

I was running up against what I feel was different roadblocks and solved them in different ways.
Talking in IRC, others mentioned similar problems so I made this guide.
