Hey all thanks for taking the time to read this. So me and a friend started up WoW and for right now my friends pc is in the crapper. So I've been multiboxing 2 Hunters using HotKetNet and love it. Now i know thats probably the super intro newb thing to just use, so looked at the forum and just saw Jamba and about to give it a try.
My question is im thinking of doing a duel druid combo. One Feral, the other Resto. How would i do with random dungeon grouping if my resto druid is the main healer. Will it be rough? or would i be able to swing by with little problems aside the Leroy Jenkin pulls. (also we RAF'd and did lvl 60 x2 hunters in 23 hours played)

Healer + Some-Other-Role is quite easy if you utilize the mouse to heal (using VuhDo, Grid, Healbot, etc) and use keypresses for your other character. No issues there!
Dual druids have a lot of flexibility. You can do a variety of roles for PvE and PvP.
ISBoxer is a real great multiboxing tool, if you decide to stick with the hobby. It's a huge upgrade over HotKeyNet.
Welcome!

they way *I* also being a fairly new boxer would do it...is control the resto druid, use keys like 7,8,9 with mouseover macros for your healer. then keep the feral on follow and target with your resto druid. the mouseover macros will allow you to not switch targets much.
Jamba is a must. I really don't know how you've done it without it so far...look into interact with target, jamba will make picking up quests a breeze. Note that jamba is an addon, not a multiboxing program, it's meant to be used in accordance with HotKeyNet/Keyclone/ISBoxer

Sounds like you're playing your friend's account. That's a big no no.

Hahaha well this is a temp thing for now. Lol what blizz dont know wont hurt em. My problem is im horrible at programming or even thinking of what i need to type to make stuff happen. Plus a complete newb when it comes to rollover macros or even how to make em as isthisspam was talking about haha...Well yes jamba is freakin sweet with the easy questing. If anyone has any links or anything that could help me out with this would greatly appreciate it. Im going to continue searching the web and forums to see if i cant find what i need to help me.
----Also forgot to mention im a very visual person. So for me to read something then put it straight into action is kinda rough. I see people do the macros in videos but when i look to see what ppl are talking about it just goes over my head. I know once i get it down and figured it out it will be cake the next time. But doesnt help when a newbie comes and trys to get all 100% of multiboxing down in one night. I know how to make macros i did the very basic
/assist XXXX
/Cast XXX
and then just kind of went from there and such but anything more advance i never fully understood

If you're planning on boxing long term, take a hard look at IS Boxer.
You get a lot of bang for your buck.
Auto FTL, without messing with macros or scripts.
Mouse Repeater and Repeater Regions.
Click Bars.
Flexible Mapped Keys - Toggles, Slave or Master actions, etc.
Send Next Click - Ground Target AoE's.
If you're not likely to box much, or are comfortable with scripting (or willing to learn), look at HKN.
It gets you most of those features, and is free.
As far as what Blizz doesn't know.
You'll probably be fine.
But you might not be; if anyone reports you, a GM will check the names on the accounts, and if they're different you've just lost both accounts (banned, not suspended).

Hahaha well this is a temp thing for now. Lol what blizz dont know wont hurt em.
What is even funnier, is when some uneducated person in game reports you thinking that you're hacking or botting by
controlling multiple characters, and then the GM decides to look at the names on the accounts.

Hah yeah just laughing now but your right. Going to take this serious...started looking at the forum more and already been messing with jamba and ISBoxer. But now that i understand a little more with the macros and what not. Just going to buy a 2nd accnt since its only 20 bucks for a full account now. Ill just spend some more time looking and testing out my own macros singleboxing in a group then move to dual boxing

If you think for some reason you may play more than just 2 accounts, you may want to take advantage of those deals at
the moment because that sale ends tomorrow.

Well dont think ill be playing more then 2, only work weekends so 30 bucks a month ontop a phonebill sucks...But i know i will be playing 2 and then my friend on his 3rd so i unno if that would still be worth it or if i should just get my money back from ISBoxer
---Like is it still worth just 2boxing it? or does it really only benefit if you 5box it?

First off, definitely go with Recruit a Friend.
You can start off with 2-boxing.
That gets you a strong foundation.
Two toons would be excellent for quests... not a pain to do collections.
Twice the kill speed for kill quests, faster mob respawns because more toons in the area.
The option of both Tank + Healer, for extremely fast Dungeon Finder; and with that many toons, even if DPS are dorks, they cannot group boot you and will be replaced very easily by the mass of DPS that want tanks/healers.
PvP-wise, two aren't enough to outright one-shot blow people up.
And you do suffer from the slave being on auto follow, the possibility of a split team etc.
But you do have double the firepower.
And take up only 2 slots in the 10/15-man battlegrounds, which is often a huge edge.
It is up to you, whether 2-boxing is enough or you'd want to hold off until you have five.
I two-boxed, without software for the first year and a half, and had a blast.
Was even two boxing literally, with two PC's + two monitors + two keyboards + two mice.
Would have been so much better with multiboxing software...
The only question that matters is.... do you find two boxing fun?
I'll recommend having a Death Knight, Druid, Shaman, Paladin and Priest on both accounts.
That gets you any tank (except Warrior, include that if you want... but hate to box them) from either account, along with several healer options.
Down the road, if you decide to 5-box, when you're more financially able...
Take whichever account has the best geared tank on it.
Call that account A, and the other account B.
Purchase three additional accounts.
And link them like this:
A > C > D
B > E
And then boost BCDE with A.
A will get a bunch of granted levels, and BCDE will all have RAF bonuses.

Yeah well i leveled 2 hunters to lvl 60 in about 24 hours played time. Was quick easy and all i used was hotkeynet. It was fun and year it made the leveling go by so much faster. I Also know the awesome benefits of having 2 toons in a 5 man dungeon...a lot better chance at gear...plus healer tank always works well. What i have to do now is figure out how to work the macros better. I bought the system seeing as 10 bucks for 3 months isnt bad and my own 2nd accnt and linked it to A so now i have A>B,B1 linked to it so when my friend gets on ill have double the free lvls and thats 3 ppl i can group with and raid with. I like the ISBoxer so far. Just have to figure out what real duo i want and what other classes i want to make as a team. I have a dwarf thing going on so i know all the quests and where to go to lvl. Just going to be the tank/healer macros i have to work on and figure out. But been researching more and found out some stuff thats helped

I will also echo what others have said and strongly encourage you not to violate the ToC and play an account that is not in your name.

Well heres a little update...I've bought a 2nd accnt a linked it to my main email. started working on a pally priest combo...kinda slow right now but i didnt wanna make another dwarf combo got bored of those quests haha. I found some tutorials about repeater regions and got Healerbot and linked it up thanks to http://isboxer.com/index.php/guides/33-wow-video-tovya-repeater ....
Its worked ok so far...only problem i have had with ISBoxer is when i press number 1...whatever client i pressed it in autocrashes. Thinking of just deleted the keybinds and just relying on my healer as a pure healer and use just healer bot....another problem i have which is probably just something simple i havnt figure out....but sometimes my healer bot becomes broadcasted usually when i press or hold Alt...so i have to figure that out....
But other then a few minor things I'm happy with the way its gone

The DPS 1 mapped key, crashes you.
But the DPS 2, etc, don't?
If you open up the Toolkit, does the mapped key look any different from the others?
Have you modified it at all?
I'd probably post on the isboxer forum; Lax will likely have a fix.

Yeah i looked at it and happens every time i do the wizard same thing happens...all the rest are fine...2-whatever 1 is changed to self...something something but i just deleted it for the time being...My real pet peave right now is that sometimes the broadcast kicks in and my bot goes awol on me and does his own thing or both clients have the curser instead of just my tank...any suggestions how to fix that? Instead of going all the way to the corner and double clicking the broadcast in the upperleft hand corner

If you turn on repeater in one window, and then switch to another window, I sometimes get buggy behavior.
If I enable then disable it from the same window, after a switch its not an issue.
Not sure if that is what you're saying or not.
I don't actually have the click bar to enable/disable Keymaps or Repeater on my screen. Was using IS Boxer long before the feature was implemented, and did not bother with a click bar for that.
Also, if your DPS 2 mapped key, in FTL DPS works fine.
You could copy the mapped key, paste it, and then rename it to DPS 1.
Then edit the hotkey and output, which theoretically would fix that issue.
Then sort the Keymap, which will put things back into order.

Yeah Well its just i dont know whats keyyed to make it repeat or whatever i mean its not to big of a problem just sometimes he ends up running away when i do realize it because both the windows are active instead of just my main.
Also sometimes happens when im just clicking my own spell bar or after i use the healbot. But eventually ill figure it out. But hey im happy with where im at so far. Easy healbot that finally remember what all my clicks and shifts and alt clicks do haha. About to be able to go into dungeons and test out how tanking/healing a 5 man goes.
One thing im not looking forward is messing with my healbot location and changing my box length. Took me a while to get everything in a decent location for each other lol *id be half on my name in healbot and just barely be clicking on it on my healer haha*
