Punctuation. It's your friend.
Also, is this a bear dps macro? If so, I'm not sure what to say. Are bears DPS now?

/assist main
/castsequence reset=target Lacerate, Maul, Lacerate, Faerie Fire(Feral)(Feral), Lacerate, Maul, Pulverize, Swipe(Bear),
/cast Mangle(Bear Form)
/cast Skull Bash(Bear Form)
That's what I use, I never really found it needed any tweeking, held agro very easily.
Mangle is on a 6 sec cooldown, so if you spam this it will fire whenever it's up.
You can take Skull bash out if you want, its just something i had in for pvp. You can also take out swipe if you wish. However, I liked it in there. It sometimes can tag a mob or a rogue in pvp lol. It's timed right so if you swap targets your macro doesn't get stuck waiting for swipe. I'd put it below with mangle, but due to its high rage cost it won't ever fire off as the castsequence would take precedences over it.
I'm assumine you have talented pulverize, and faerie fire(3stacks).

Im Testing and looking to Integrate the below in my 2 step system using ISboxer
http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=33080&page=6 (http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=33080&page=6)
This macro is posted there as well
but there are other Macro programs so you can utalise the full 1024 Character limit (Both these fall in the 500 - 600 character range)
Stagers between the two and basicly should work in cat or bear form Just started really testing it so tweeks may be in order.
Step 1
/castsequence [stance:1,stance:3] reset=target/combat/3 Faerie Fire(Feral)(Feral),Mangle(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Pulverize(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Swipe(Bear Form),Mangle(Bear Form),Pulverize(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Pulverize(Bear Form); [stance:3] Mangle(Cat Form),Rake(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Rip(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Ferocious Bite(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Rake(Cat Form),Rip(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Ferocious Bite(Cat Form)
Step2
/cast [stance1:,stance:3] Feral Charge(Cat Form); [stance:3] Feral Charge(Bear Form)
/castsequence [stance:1] reset=target/combat/3 Swipe(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Swipe(Bear Form),Lacerate(Bear Form),Pulverize(Bear Form),,Mangle(Bear Form),Pulverize(Bear Form),
/cast [stance:1,stance:3] Mangle (Bear Form); [stance3] Mangle (Cat Form)
/cast [stance:1,stance:3] !Maul(Bear Form); [stance:3] Tiger's Fury(Cat Form)
/cast [stance:1,stance:3] Berserk(Bear Form); [stance:3] Berserk(Cat Form)
I do not think some of those conditionals do what you think they do.
Specifically, a single set of [] acts as a logical AND, requiring all elements inside them to be true. Multiple sets of [] seperated by spaces are logically OR'd together; if any one of them is true the clause executes. Clauses - separated by semicolons - are exectued in sequence until one of them does something.

Thank you Iru
You were correct I will be altering it a bit to work as intended.

My cats are fairly happy with:
#show
/castsequence reset=target Mangle(Cat Form),Rake(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Mangle(Cat Form),Rip(Cat Form)
Four CP generating moves has been a crit at least once, basically every time.
The Rake is very close to perfect timing.
The Rip is clipped a little, which is not perfect.
But the choice is, clip the Rip a tick or two or add another ability and have the Rake expire entirely before reapplication.
Or go with no castsequence, and manually manage your DPS every fight... including in PvE when you're also tanking and healing.
I've not used it, but do have:
#show Savage Roar
/castsequence reset=5 Mangle(Cat Form),Savage Roar(Cat Form)
