Hi all,
so reading on Wowhead people are commenting on how fast it is now to level in the revamped zones from 1 - 60? Has anyone noticed a difference? People have stated that 1 - 60 has been completed in record fast times and even talk about a guy who has gone from 1 - 80 in under a week.
I know personally I started a human hunter and did notice that he seemed to be leveling quite fast.
Anyone else got any insight?

I have decided that boosting kinda sucks now. They nerfed all the vanilla dungeons big time, as in, there seems to be half as many mobs. I like that the quests are inside the dungeon, but places like SM have been completely changed. Cathedral has almost no mobs inside the first courtyard and the ones there are fighting abominations. I went to Scholomance yesterday and there are smaller packs of mobs, and less mobs in each pack. Kinda making it slow to boost. Even BRD where I'm at right now has fewer mobs. I think they 'over nerfed' the lower dungeons.

At level they are stupid easy now.

My roommate didn't like the Stratholme changes, where the mobs are 45 elites instead of 55 elites.

I suggested UBRS/LBRS, which he'd never done, but was better experience than Strat.
He didn't like BRD, so did not want to try that one.
Cannot really comment on whether UBRS/LBRS is better/worse than it was; neither of us have boosted there before.

I've been 5-box leveling my gnomes through the new world, and it's been easy and fast. Not as fast as boosting used to be, but a lot more interesting and a lot more fun, and, possibly, faster than boosting is now.

On a single-toon basis, it is DEFINITELY faster than before, and better yet the pace does NOT seem to be slowing as I get higher level.

So it looks like you are at lvl 27 on your new warrior (checked the armory :) ) , how much have you played? i.e in game what is it showing for '/Played" ?
I am also thinking of starting on a new server with a full team and wondering how long it will take to get over 60.

Well, that team has been screwing around a lot too - I've spent a lot of time on professions, chatting with people, figuring out how to stream, blowing up training dummies and in general running around the world. So whatever my /played time is (I'll check it when I get home) I'd say that actually only half that time or so was spent on leveling - MAYBE 3/5ths. Going forward the ratio will probably be more leveling, less screwing around tho.

Lol, how have you found it with the professions, are there more trainers now closer to the starting zones?

Well, I have 5x engineers at 200 now - it hasn't been that bad since they all start with +15, I had a bunch of low-level mats laying around, and my base of operations is, more or less, Ironforge. I did spend most of my time in-game yesterday running around gathering various mats rather than leveling, though.

This team really isn't being done for speed - I'm exploring the new world. The next team I make (likely 5 Worgen Druids) will almost certainly be my "speed leveling" attempt.

I just logged in and checked - 1 day, 10 hours. Taking out the time spent screwing around and doing non-leveling thing, I'd say it's about 20 hours or so. Not the fastest ever, but definitely not bad.

I was messing around with a 5x gnome rogue team. Despite many collection quests I found a pretty good pace up til 40. But on a pvp server with a 9:1 horde:alliance ratio I am stalled with every 80 that I come across deciding to 1-shot me with an earthquake or thunderstomp.

I suppose I should be trying to get a feel of the new quests on a normal server but the one I usually play has no slots free for new chars.

Guildie got his 51 druid to 69 in under 2 days of rather casual playing (dungeons / quest mix).
Myself I've made 2 orc warriors today and in about 30 minutes I had them at lvl 8 (raf).

Both examples seems to be way faster than they used to be.

They just hotfixed dungeon quests to really drop the xp given. Boo. But other quests still seem fine. Yay!
