- As a good poster, I searched before I posted this and didn't find this subject covered.
Anyone going to change to Goblin from an Orc? The rocket boots are a nice pvp escape and the launchers add a little bit of extra dps for pve, but probably not as much as BF. I don't know if they scale either.
The idea of my huge Tauren Pally leading 4 mini gobbos around, though, man... it's hard to pass up.
Thoughts?

I think goblins are pvp shaman, that extra bit of burst.... however it's not a big difference, so if you like goblins then go for it.

Sadly, I don't think Trolls are really a top pick unless you are doing the team for roleplay/fun factor reasons.
Keep in mind that racials could be changed at any time. Right now, here's my thoughts on Orcs vs. Goblins:
Orc Pros:
* Very good racial in Blood Fury. Off GCD and stacks well with some of our other cooldown-based damage enhancers.
* Compact compared to other races (i.e. Taurens, Trolls), able to navigate most obstacles with ease.
Goblin Pros:
* Very good racials, both for extra damage, movement (boots), and utility (mailbox access, etc).
* Super compact!! Should be easy to navigate through almost all landscape/building features. (Caveat! Might have a problem getting "hung up" on small items that other races can easily walk over-- too soon to tell).
* Super compact (again)!! This team will be harder to manually target because of the characters' small sizes. You will not be as obvious in BG situations as other larger races. However... 4x Chain Lightnings streaking out from your team WILL attract attention, so there are limits to this utility.
I am probably going to convert my orcs to goblins and give it a whirl. I know a few others that will be doing the same.

For pve:
- orc's got their sp racial increased lately to 584 at level 85 (165 atm), 2 min cd, latst 15 seconds. it does not scale with gear level, meaning that at the start of cata it will be the same as at the end of cata, despite higher gear level difference and dps requirements from bosses = extra spell power trinket
- troll berserk = extra haste trinket
- goblin = rockets + jump + 1% flat haste
It has been stated that haste won't be as massive in cata as it was in wotlk, at higher gear levels.
The rocket jump is very interesting for moving intensive fights = it gets you faster into position so you can resume dps. It's also a life saver when you stand in goo. However we have instand ghostwolf if specced, so that's a strong option as well.
For the first tier gear I'm going to stick to orcs. Will level a new gob shaman from scratch meanwhile, as i'm really attached to my orc :) And at first tier of gear, the sp on use is a strong racial for an elemental shaman.

I didn't realize BF didn't scale!
I'm thinking I'm gonna hang with me orcs till 85. Dropping an extra $100 in addition to the 5 copies of Cata will hurt my wallet more than if I wait.
Thanks all!
