Man, I hope nobody /wrists after thinking moving people out of Dalaran would reduce lag. :p Org is a huge PITA for me now; about like Dalaran was during prime time but ALL the time now. And there's a lot more load stuttering in the other old world zones. Flying through the Barrens is amusing listening to the drives grind.

I concur.

I noticed a lot of lag even when no one except my group is around, somtimes when idle (not moving). Seems something is not optimized on their software or my hardware can not handle the new patch =/

i hope it's just some post patch issues that will go away. It took me an eternity to walk out of undercity and ride my lowbies over to the chapel in eastern plaguelands to get the FP's. And my FPS dropped about 30 points as well. Perhaps it will subside when everyone is done exploring the changes....

It's all the fire effects+more people. Notice if you get somewhere without any fire around things clear up. Then you start walking and pass a fire boom huge FPS hit.

Kind of been a long running problem. There's just much much much more open flame effects around now.

Fire effects never gave me any trouble on my NVidia cards. In fact, my 2nd PC running 4 clients on an NVidia 8800GTX gets better FPS in many spots than my 5850 does on my main. Beginning to wonder about my choice in buying an ATI.

Just got my revo drive and with a single client with all effects on ultra (cept shadows is low), I have a 460 video card and 3.2GHz Athlon X2, during crowded time in Org I get 30fps.

I'll do a full write up in a few days.

Don't mean to sidetrack, but aren't the Revo drives lacking TRIM support? Or have they recently updated that on newer ones?
Was looking at buying one, but just ended up getting a Vertex 2. Hope blizz gets this lag taken care of soon, its gonna be a nightmare in Org and UC come Dec 7th!

A few times I have lagged and gotten the little downloading game files icon in the center of my screen. I have fully downloaded everything from the patcher, but it seems there is even more still.
