Hello and happy thanksgiving to everyone :)

I was wondering if I can delete any unused files in the WoW directory? I got rid of the patch files, but I noticed there is a new folder in the data folder called "cache". was wondering if this is safe to delete or just leave everything as is? I have the intel value drive (37GB) and it is down to the last 10GB. I read if you have limited space on the SSD, it will cause performance issues in regards to speed.

thanks

You won't be able to make the WoW directory much smaller than you have it now.

The cache folder has been there as long as I can remember it. It makes it easier for your system to "fetch" whatever has
been stored in there. You can delete it all you want and it will continue to come back everytime you play the game and it
will get loaded with things that you've seen in that session. People do delete their cache folders every once-in-a-while
because it is one of the first basic troubleshooting steps that Blizzard has you do in the event of an error:

Delete your Cache, Interface, and WTF folders
You won't be able to make the WoW directory much smaller than you have it now.

ok then, looks like I am going to have to get a bigger SSD and use the 37GB SSD as a boot drive

thanks for the info

From what I've read, the platter drives slow down at about 50% capacity, but SSD's don't slow much until beyond 90% capacity.
