So I figure I would share some info that I haven't seen here. Some of you are probably aware of it, the term "tapping", which got the first person to 70 in 28 hours (60-70 in 28 hours).

Basically heres how it works:
Person A = experience-or, the one who gets xp
Group B = The killers. Theres a nice explanation of the level limitations here (http://www.wowwiki.com/Formulas:Mob_XP)

A attacks mob, B kills it. A just has to do 1 point of damage to get credit for the kill!

I leveled a friend from 43 to 47, pre 2.3, full-rested in 2 hours. Not bad considering it was myself, and him, no boxing :)

Anyhow, if you have a 70 and are boxing and/or racing to make the fastest level'd char of all time, why not try this? It has a couple assumptions though, which can limit some people from doing this.
#1) You will need to make two high level sets of twinks -- 49 and 59, and optionally 69.
#2) You have the desire to power level other characters of yours, or of your friends.
#3) You enjoy burst damage -- your alt chars should be chosen based on maximizing burst potential for the bracket.

1-44 the instance grind. Should take less than a day played to get to 44.

Recommended team: warlock (get's DC at 42, very powerful 49 twink)
Then at 42, go to Feralas and start tapping, using the level 49 twink-team. You can choose to do the quests available, but it might be counter-productive, especially if you find yourself running back and forth a lot. Ogres, hippos, yetis, elites.. all good choices. Aim for 30 minutes per level.

Recommended team: hunter (best overall sustainable dps)
Once you hit 50, you're off to Felwood to grind T-maw rep with the level 59 twink-team. Theres a good chance of blue drops, as well as a Gutripper if you're lucky. By 55 you're ready for Winterspring; I'd go straight for the whelps (elite) for some serious xp and some decent loot.

At 58-60 you're off to outlands. Using a 69 twink will let you start at 58 (going for level 60-62 mobs). By the time you hit 62, you can use any and all level 70's to be your kill team.

MISC.

It can be helpful to have a healer/res bot in your kill team to eliminate downtime.
I've had best results if you run your kill squad as a mage (food/water), warlock (no down-time), hunter (pets!)
Google: "mage aoe grind spots" to find good locations to grind away at.

Any thoughts, comments, questions, rebuttles appreciated.

Do you do this ungrouped or grouped? If ungrouped, you can't just do 1 point of damage to get the kill. You need to do at least 50% or you won't get near the full xp for the mob.

I find that using a lvl 70 to instance grind 1-42 is definitely the way to go... and after that, I still instance grind with the 70 because the XP is better than anything that I can quest with... PLUS, my 5 box group will eventually include that lvl 70, so it makes sense. I'm at lvl 55, and I do admit that things have gotten a lot slower. I had a lvl 70 warrior friend bring my group through Strat and we didn't have tooooo many problems, so I think I'll bring my own warrior in there and do it myself.

Correct on being ungrouped.

you're right that you don't get full xp, it is something around 75% though. The key is that the mob is green to the kill squad. If the mob is grey, you will get no xp.

Basically the goal is for the levelee to be going after oranges, and the kill squad to be going after greens/yellows.

I completely understand about keeping the unity of your box team, this is more for single character level advancement.

I think most people on this site know about tapping. It's been discussed quite a bit in the past, but those posts have gotten buried over time. There is also the method of grouping at least two lowbies, then using ungrouped high-level pets (warlock or hunter) to do the kill. With this technique, level differences don't matter between the lowbies and the killers, the lowbies get full XP (shared between them of course since they are grouped).

Hmm good info Sanctume :)

I have two little cousins who cant get past level 20 or so (they're 12... they get lost easy and caught up in "what looks best?")

So I suppose I will respec full demonology and get the two nubs to group up.

With that said, what kind of gear requirements am I looking at for BRD? Namely HP and +dmg... or is BRD more worthwhile on my Shaman?
