Hey there,
I am just getting into multiboxing for Cata leveling/pvp. I basically need help from the beging. The best software through the best straegy. I have two mages and a computer that can handle running two wows at once.

AIM me at: ssuperhero99
Or email at: wowwowblake@yahoo.com

Start by reading. Everything you could possibly need to know is already available on the forums. The posters here have already done all the work in making very good and detailed posts, the least you can do is look at it.

Start with a software, I'll recommend IS Boxer because it's the best, imo.

With it, you get auto FTL (a strong assist method, so you don't need to worry about Focus or Target based assist methods).
The mouse broadcasting is superb, and you can instantly switch from one character to the other.
There is a wizard to get you up and running fast.
And the IRC (on the www.isboxer.com mainpage) is real time support; just ask what you need and hang around a while, as people in the channel might not be there all the time, but you'll usually get an answer fairly quickly.

The top free software would be HKN (www.hotkeynet.com), it is script based but there are quite a few here who use it, so a decent level of support too.

If you're not using IS Boxer, you'll need an assist system. Focus based is probably the easiest, and you won't need Focus for crowd control or pvp burst, while leveling a pair of toons.
Basically have a /Focus ToonA macro on both toons, and another for ToonB. On the same keybind, so they both focus the same character.
Then DPS can be /Cast [target=FocusTarget] Whatever.

Definitely go with Recruit a Friend, if you can.

Check out Jamba, a boxing addon by a boxer. All other addons are optional, but Jamba will make your life immensely easier.

The best way to get help for something specific is to Google.
Search with +site:dual-boxing.com +whatever +whatever

ok im not going to flame software that i haven't used but IS boxer sounds so much better, but hey i guess if you have the software use it, though this site does not support that software so you can't really ask for help with it
it said in the rules or something to not post about that software so best to leave it there [as Fenril's link says]

So When i use the quick setup wizard with ISboxer, it allows me to press a Hotbar key and it broadcasts it to the other window?

Sorry I'm very new to this.

go back up to Ualaa's post and at the bottom of it in the footnote is his guide "My Guide to IS Boxer" then a link
if you read that and it should give you the gist

Also check out www.isboxer.com

And the IRC which is linked from that page.
That's the best single resource, since someone will usually answer any question given a bit of time.
