So I've been trying to finish off some achievements before Cataclysm - and one that eludes me is Champion of the Frozen Wastes. All I have left to kill is Malygos. I managed to solo Sapphiron for the key to Malygos - and I was wondering had anybody tried to 5 box EoE10? I have a druid tank and 4 shamans. Reading up on the fight, I'm not sure if it's doable unless if someone were seriously elite (and I fear I am not). Any advice?

Doubt it since you have to fight in 2 places at the same time. Up in the air on the disks and down on the ground. The boxing vids and discussion I've seen on it always involved 2 people at least.

You don't have to fight on the discs at all... it's completely optional. When I used to 5 box this back when wrath came out (with 5 other people), we had 0 melee. So we'd ranged down the scions (flying mobs) first and just tank the 2 meleers and run from anti-magic shell to magic shell. Hell, half the time the hunter & lock I'd roll with would just stand outside the shells and soak heals and nuke them down.
That said, it's completely doable depending on gear level.
Phase 1 - Just face him away from the raid.... at any TOC/ICC gear level, the sparks should be killed, but the buff would be purely optional. Vortex is easy to heal through now... it was a little more challenging when we had < 20k hp, but now it's a non-issue.
Phase 2 - Tank to to meleers and nuke them down fast. The scions flying above are you biggest issue.
Phase 3 - Dumbed down version? This whole phase is completely macroable. Just strafe in a circle around Maly and mash your macro, you'll never have to shield or do what any guide would suggest. Kayinn and I commented on it back in the day... http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=19627
I may actually try this tonight now... hmmm...

I did it solo with 8 for the achievement very easily, and if you have 5 toons with GREAT PvE gear, ICC or whatnot, then it's probably doable with maybe 1 tank 1 healer and 3 DPS, but the problem is, he has an enrage timer of 10 minutes. I'm not sure you would get him down before that with only 3 DPS. i had 6 DPS and they were all pretty well geared in 251 PvE gear at the time, and it was a great composition, warlocks, shaman, boomkin.. al pulling decent DPS on him.
so yes, probably possible, but only if you overgear the content horribly.
Might be easier to just go get another boxer, or someone else to do some of the easier jobs like tanking or healing and bring DPS toons?

I did it on Friday night with 5... I killed him right before enrage only because I oopsied and got too close to him on phase 3 and lost 2 of my 5 dps early (like before 2 stacks of engulf). If I had had the other dps stacking engulf he would have died well before.
I'm in full wrathful (reforged to +hit) and T9 on my druid tank.

Hats off to the people that soloed him. After wipe 5 I just went to Dalaran and got random PUG peeps and we cleared it in pretty short order (it's weird multiboxing with a PUG - fun, though).
