View Full Version : [WoW] Gnomes!
I am incredibly psyched for whenever this patch FINALLY goes live: For the first time in my boxing career, I will be able to have an ALL GNOME TEAM thanks to the addition of Gnomish Priests!
This new team will be made up of:
A ferocious Gnomish WARRIOR!
A brilliant Gnomish MAGE!
The devilish duo, 2 Gnomish WARLOCKS!
And making her debut, standing at 2'6" tall, and 40 lbs... the divine GNOMISH PRIEST!
I don't care if the starting area will be mobbed. I don't care that when I am standing around in a crowd I'll find myself looking way up at everyone's noses. I don't even care that small spaces full of people will likely smell rather different to my characters than those grotesque giants, the dwarves. I'll finally be able to demonstrate, unquestionably, GNOME SUPREMACY! And maybe even discover the mcnuggets on a chicken.

I've got a team, which I bet are rather intimidating for the hordies on my realm.
Five pink haired (pig tails) gnomette, DK's: Cuddles, Huggles, Kisses, Tickles and Snuggles.
They're most of the way through 74th, and plan to raise their alchemy to 525 come Cataclysm.

Lol @ Ualaa's team character names. Very nice.
Enjoy your all new gnome team kate! What are you going to call them?
There will be screenshots! Many, many screenshots. Most will probably be on my blog along with writeups of their adventures (though I promise, while I am somewhat gnomish myself, I won't do them "in character" because I think I would wind up dying due to saccharine overload), but any *ahem* gnotable pix... will be brought here so that all boxers may know what has been wrought!
One thing I am debating is making them all engineers. It seems, if it's even possible, redundant, but I think there's all kinds of shenannigans 5 engineers could get up to...
As for the *sigh* gnomenclature of this team, I'm not yet sure. I have to ponder on this deeply - fortunately, there seems to be plenty of time to plan this out because I have to wait until 5 PM PST time to even have a hope of playing!
A question: Where is the place people are getting those signature plates with the team names on 'em? Do those plates update automagically?

I think it was something Zub was working on (the name plates). I'll try to dig it up.
I can't wait to see your lil' critter in action. No doubt the will soon be well gnome throughout Doomhammer!!

I'm sure there's a plethora of website that allow wow sigs, but i like this one (mine :-) ) :
http://www.wow-ratings.com
You'll find 'normal' sigs with stats and stuff ("Multi Toon Sig" for up to 4 toons) like this one:
http://www.wow-ratings.com/showSig.php?id=woJ3R0IcBJRXk
or you can get toon lists ("Maxi List" up to 12 zillion toons) like the one in my sig.
if you use a maxi list you can also have access to a "Team portal" which lists the gear, achieves, reputations, professions of your toons
Both sigs are refreshed automatically (once a day max though)
The Team portal is refreshed when you want (you get to click the refresh button yourself)
Cheers,
-Zub
It has begun!

epic i got to make some gmone priest they look fun in pvp
We have BOMBS!!! I got engineering on them all and now we have BOMBS!
Setting up the targeted AOE worked wonderfully - I almost feel bad, blowing everyone up! Anyone who makes gnomes really should just accept that they all need to be engineers.
And, as a follow-up, I've started streaming my Gnome Supremacy live at ustream:

I'm just questing through the NEW Azeroth right now!

While an all gnome team is certainly something, it can't compare to the stout, stubby hairiness that an all dwarf team brings!
Though I do admit I'm taking the easy way out and morphing my gnome mage and draeni shaman into dwarves. I don't view it as cheating though cuz in my head they have always been stubby and hairy !

Dwarves are taller than gnomes because they are compensating for not being nearly as awesome. Humans, Nightelves, and, of course, Draeni are even more sad because they have to have even MORE height just to make people pay attention to them.
Therefore, your mage has become INFINITELY less powerful by becoming *gag* a dwarf, but your shaman has become somewhat better (though only a little) by becoming a dwarf.
Really, you should just quit fooling yourself and accept Gnome Supremacy - do it now, avoid the rush!
Damn now you've started me thinking of an all-gnome team
Always wanted to do nomes (only allliance race i like, well, so far) but the lack of heals was stopping me.
now this. Grrr.
Do i have the patience to start afresh and level 1-80? not sure,. no RAF, only 1 heirloom per toon (shoulders) and not much motivation.. I've created the team, not sure i'll level it or not.
They also all have pigtails (not a big fan of other hairstyles) but the color depends on the class.
Tankie - Warrior - brown hair
Nukie - Mage - blue hair
Blastie - Mage - blue hair
Dottie - Warlock - purple hair
Hottie - Priest - white hair.
I haven't created the guild yet, but i'm thinking of <Troll Snack>
still thinking about it, I also thought about the (common) <GNo Mercy>, <Gnominion> and now thinking of <Om Gnom Gnom Gnom>

I really like <Troll Snack> for a group of gnomes.
It is nice that five toons can now create a guild.

I've always sworn that I'd never again roll an alliance toon (since Vanilla WoW)... But this seems so hilarious and fun, that I'm beginning to second guess myself.
Excellent! Join the... side... with short people... :D

Umm... no you're wrong, Female Draenei> anything in this game.
Yes I agree gnomes are cool, but when you challenge the superior powers of the /waggle you will lose... so don't even attempt to do so! :P
Damn, there it is, done.
my gnome team, currently 3 strong, but should be 5 strong tonight (need to reactivate a couple accounts) atm level 5.
Taunto (Male Warrior), Hottie(Female Priest) and Dottie (Female Warlock), will be rejoined by the Nukie twins (2x Female Mages)
Guild created earlier today, <Troll Snack>
^^^ It is excellent to see yet another person on the path to scientifically proven hyper-perfection. However I am slightly concerned - you seem to be under the impression that a troll could, somehow, eat a gnome. This is clearly not possible. In every simulation I have run (approximately 2.95731 billion iterations involving all possible group and numerical compositions of both opposing teams, simulations having been run in the seconds since I read your post) gnomes prevail in all situations wherein there is gnome/troll interaction of a hostile nature. In fact, in 93.27% of those simulations, all troll opponents cease functioning prior to the onset of combat due to overpowering shame-levels caused by their failure to be gnomes in the first place. QED. Interestingly, in 6.13% of the remaining simulations, members of the Gnomish team spontaneously developed time-travel capabilities and simply changed the history of the universe so that only gnomes ever came into existence. There are some kinks to be worked out, however - in at least 3 cases the output was simply "Goat Cheese" - an error I attribute to the absurd premise of the simulation itself.

I will use small words, because clearly, you are not Gnomish and therefore may have difficulty understanding some of the more advanced concepts involved here. At the most elementary level, it is a fundamental limit of physics: If Draenei were as good as Gnomes they wouldn't need to overcompensate by being so large. Gnomes are vastly more efficient, being able to maintain an average awesomeness level of 81.27 k-rads per cubic inch, while the next closest Azerothean race (Goblins) *top out* at less than 33.72 k-rads/inch^3. Gnomes pack far more awesome into a much more efficient package; It's elementary science that has been published in multiple "peer" reviewed Azerothian journals.
I put "peer" in quotes there because, of course, Gnomes do not have "peers." However, we are compassionate to lesser creatures, and so we'll condescend to pretend that their opinions matter. It's really quite cute that they even have opinions!

Perhaps your faulty eyes cannot grasp the ability to absorb the amount of beauty and grace that the very creatures you are degrading, have been emitting and over exhibiting for years now. I know you will always flee to cover and morph into the shadow behind that minute creature who you are obsessed with (the reason why your delusions and insanity are growing at an ever disgusting rate), but soon my friend there will be no place to hide. For the awesomeness that is compacted in our tail alone far surpasses that of the gnomes minuscule height, and if I were to ever retreat to the surplus of awesomeness that is compacted within that adorable body and angelic face of the Draenei, your soul would be wounded and you would no longer be the warden to your asylum which you have caged yourself in, due to the clear fact that you only spew out false truths and are a heretic to the great /waggle!
And lead me not into your traps anymore, for that will only spark a revolution within these very bones and I will unleash the power of the pig tails.
P.S. Get out of here before I /tail whip you. :P
P.S.S Gnomes are cute and awesome, but Draenei are awesomeererererer.

Gnomes are alliance. Means they are ugly by default. They should also be castrated to prevent them from reproducing themselves.

Hey Kate!
My Tauren would like to catch up for lunch, don't bother bringing anything but yourselves, I doubt we'll need much more than that..... :D

This thread is full of win. I like. Space goats rule btw.
I do enjoy some space goats - Nighthawke mocks me for having so many of them, though the reason for that prior to the sundering was that they had the only good starter area pre-cataclysm.
Now, however, the only utility I can see for them is, perhaps, as mounts. Due to their semi-sentient status, they could be trained in a number of useful functions that would allow them to be of service to Gnomekind.
Tauren also would be ideal pets - I had developed a device that would allow me to reach for things on high-shelves by opening a rift in time/space, but unfortunately on rare occasions it would open the rift in an unexpected locale, leading to... exciting... results. Tauren, however, could simply reach into those devices and if one of them were injured it wouldn't be quite as tragic. Or, if the device were non-operational, I suppose one of them could simply use their height to get things from the shelf, though that seems a bit boring.

So I charge 1000g per 5 mins for Gnomes to ride my space goats (one gnome per goat). A quick trip to the barber and the space goat horns are in the upright "steering" postion. On and its a minimum of 30 minutes a session, and you have to take all 5 space goats because if one or two get left behind they cry*.
If you need money to pay for this awesome space goat riding experience, I know a very reliable goblin lender, with extrememly high, er, low, interest rates.
Please note that driving the space goats off a cliff edge and parachuting to safety is _not_ a fun party trick.
* Alternatively, you can put on a showing of the Sound of Music and the ones left behind will not notice.
lol keep them coming guys

If any other boxers wish to be part of Gnome Supremacy, I will be happy to invite them to the guild on Doomhammer (A US PVE server). It's a nice little place to level a team, for sure, and there's another guild (one that allows in all the lesser alliance races) for boxers as well.
Hit me with a PM here if there's interest.
