View Full Version : Huge Difference between Low pop PVP server and a High pop server

My lowbies have been ganked countless times. I get ganked..see they are going to be there for a while..log off go to another team...gank. log off go to another team. wow. I could go weeks and not get ganked on Mag. But one thing I do realize is that long term this is good because I LOVE PVP. :) Especially when I have 10 toons chewing face. Can;t WAIT!

You're finding a lot of world PVP on Kil?

Even though it's a medium, borderline high pop PVP server, world PVP is pretty rare on Daggerspine until you get all the way into later Northrend zones. I suspect it's also highly imbalanced in favor of Horde because I seem to rarely run into Allies competing for territory with me. You do find spawn campers who seem to really have it in for a boxer.

ROFL! My short cute little level 24 Rogues were in wetlands and an Orc level 40 warrior tried to gank me. LOL I bet he is pretty embarrassed. I killed him pretty quick considering I thought I was dead for sure.

well, as a long(ish) LoB'er, we must have pissed in someones cheerios, cause there have been a number of people that hate anyone from LoB, and gank repeatedly. Plus, there's a lot of boxer hate, so you get that too. I've found that what works best is to destroy any would be gankers on sight, less i give them the chance to hit me later. If need be, I bring in my 5 shamans, and have a little fun. Either they give up and move on, or they bring a raid to take me down, either way, I feel like I have "won" by making their usual game of lowbie ganking not successful. Keep at it! Maybe once you get to the 70s you can 10 box, bring 5 80s in a separate group for pvp support...

Yea, can't wait to get some 10 boxing going! Getting my second computer tomorrow and may work this weekend on getting it setup, Wow installed, ISBoxer, etc. What I look forward to is a lot of fun PVP and re-dishing misery back to the gankers. Take one team to kill him and camp his corpse and take the other to camp the grave he will have to spawn in. He will either have to log off or get a lot of help! :) That reminds me...need to get a kvm switch!

Synergy or InputDirector? One is ISBoxer friendly the other has issues, my knowledge ends there.

Actually, not sure. Haven't even done research on that yet. Think maybe I should do that!

Input director is leaps and bounds better than synergy. Just make sure you unchecked the keyboard light status update or you will run into some odd behavior.

lately my InputDirector hasn't worked well when running WoW.

Everytime I am on a wow screen, ID will not switch between screens, but when i alt-tab to a browser window, desktop, even task bar, it will then work again.. anyone know why wow would be doing this? it just started since a fresh install a couple of weeks ago.

Running WoW fullscreen is the only thing I can think of.

The only negative thing I can sag about ID is it doesn't handle fullscreen games well. Of you run them fullscreen widowed, it's fine most of the time. I have seen some fps game that try to keep the mouse cause issues though.
