"After much though and deliberation, we have decided to remove the 25 v 25 bracket from rated battlegrounds. We felt that overall, it created too many logistical issues for players and that in the long run, most players would just skip that week in the rotation."

bad, very bad..

Did you really want to have to find 15 other douce bags to queue with instead of your main 10man team? If you take Rated BGs serious I don't think it will matter.

WOOT! they removed this bracket?! Can you post the blue?

This will definitely help with the fact that finding that many extra people would suck very badly.

I think this is the first step in making rated BG's just be a special que similar to regular BG's--You que up, get a bunch of randoms (near your MMR rating though), and then play a game for Conquest instead of Honor points.

Unfortunatly:

I do understand the reason why they did this thought. On my current realm 25 decent pvpers isn't that hard to gather. But on my old realm, you would need pretty much all pvpers that are on there :D So then rated ioc/av is near to impossible.

I'd think 25-man rated battlegrounds, would typically be one of two configurations.

Either a 25-man raid, decides to run rated BG's on a given night.
And if you have the people to fill in a 25-man raid, then you have the people for the BG too.
IE, if it is impractical to get 25 people together for PvP, then they should ditch 25-man PvE raids too.

And the more common approach, which will likely be the same for the vast majority of rated 10-man and 15-man BG's is:
/2 Looking for more, for 15-man rated BG's, 800 Res minimum.

Difference is that 2 out of 10 people pvp, where probably 6 out of 10 do 'serious' pve.

I *think* this would be pretty good for us, in general...

I do like the fact that I won't need to round up a 21-person team to play 25v25 rated BGs 1/3 of the time. I plan to mostly BG with my guild, which is sized for 10-man raids...

I hope that this is the case... I think my 4-shaman team with guildies I play with frequently should do well against most ad hoc BG teams. If there's enough of these ad hoc teams (as opposed to organized and well-practiced BG teams), I should be able to achieve a decent rating...
