Question about upgrading to Cataclysm - Digital Download

Hello,

I've just updated my accounts and received confirmation. So far so good.

It's true that we've been having so many Gb of patches and downloads lately but all I got after upgrading the accounts was about 700Mb of update, which I find really small.

Did you have the same/different experience?

Is there any noticeable way to find out if it's REALLY updated or if you'll only know on the 7th that it's messed up? :)

I also had the same experience when I did the update, by all accounts it seems the update is only 700mb BUT I presume the real update will be when they release the patch for Cataclysm, I would expect that to be a much larger download.

I think they said there would be one more largish patch for Cata closer to the 7th. Not sure how they are tying it all up though with the 4.03 patch.

Anyways, add another 700 mb patcher here for the preorder.

Yeah, so far it has downloaded about 700MB into the data folder. I figure that in the coming weeks, as more stuff gets finalized, there will be additional downloads. I have upgraded four accounts, and am deciding whether to upgrade two more, or upgrade one more and move the characters from the sixth account (there are only two on that one, I think). I'll probably wind up with five upgraded accounts.

are you all actually downloading it multiple times? Or download once, copy, paste and use more activation keys? is there a way to do that?

I've mostly been playing single characters solo, so I have only downloaded it into one folder or two. I am planning on playing single characters at first, and I figure by the time I am ready to start boxing again, I'll have all of my folders updated.

People are reporting 700MB.
There is basically 1000MB in 1GB, so 70% of a GB.
